Mr. Pickles
Don't think I've ever seen this topic here. Has anyone ever compared Rancho shocks vs. Trailmasters? Local shops carry Trailmaster for a few bucks more than Rancho, but they have to order the Ranchos since they don't carry them in stock. I'm wondering if anyone would recommend 1 over the other. FordFoxGT
The only thing that I know between the two is the price like you said. I know Trialmaster has a 4" lift too. Could that be a difference? Smitty
Mr. Pickles
I'm talking about stock replacements, or close to stock, maybe a tad longer. When it comes to a lift, I think I'm gonna go for a body lift rather than suspension. I already have heavy duty T bars from AC that are cranked. 88pathoffroad
They're about the same as Rancho RS5000's. I've never heard anything good nor bad about Trailmaster shocks. Matterhorn has them on his Pathy, I think. Ask him.
MatterHorn
i've had my trail master shocks on for about 3 years now, and I dont have any complaints about them. The ranchos, from what I have heard are comparable, however rancho has the abilitiy to adjust their shocks with the 9000 series, which I think is better so that you can fine tune your suspension for off and on road capabilities.
