Intermittant Wipers Inop.

Hi, I have an 87' pathfinder with intermittent wipers. I have had it for about a month. At first the intermittent wipers would only work randomly, now they don't work at all. So, now I have 3 speeds: off, fast, and really fast. I have already tried replacing the switch with a new one, but didn't work. Is there an amplifier or relay somewhere that may be the problem?

I already put on a ton of rain-x and some really good wiper blades, but not having the intermittent wipers is really annoying me.

Yeah, there's a timer for the delay feature. It should be under the hood attached to the wiper motor. Little brown or tan box. (IIRC)

Yep, I had the same problem with mine a about 2 weeks ago. Replaced the tan box and it works perfect now.

I went to my local Nissan dealer and apparently it only comes with the Wiper motor from them. Nissan wanted $165 for a new one! I got a used one at a junk yard for $5 and now have a spare wiper motor.

thanks for the replies, sorry about getting back to this so late. I'll check into if I have to order that box with the motor or if I can get it separetely or not. I work at a Nissan dealer, so my cost shouldn't be too bad, plus free install!
