projekz
I'm looking into buying an ARB Sahara bumper for my truck and I would like to know how durable the finish is? I live in Calgary and they put a lot of rocks on the road during the winter! I want to make sure it's not gonna start rusting and chipping. Anybody has feedback on those bumper? FUELER
Supposedly it shouldn't. "All ARB bumpers are steel shot blasted and then washed in hot phosphate to prevent rust. Pieces are then electrostatically power coasted and cured in a 215 degrees Celcius oven." Check out these car accident pics: (they hit eachother) It looks like the Toyota was unhurt (he actually needed one tie rod and repainted his ARB and he was all set) ]
sammyb33
hah i bought mine off of a guy on ebay, and well, mine is still chipped and rusted in a few places, but i know the guy, and from seeing his pathfinder, he wheeled the piss out of it, i mean u can see rock rash and what not, so i mean overall it holds up well, but i need to repaint it. i have yet to scratch it, and have actually had the whole weight of my truck on it....but i also need to repaint it
Daddy Rim
Mine has rust on most of the welds, but not on any visible areas, mostly in the area where the winch sits. Other than that it's pretty clean and durable.
