Well when I was comming back up from phoenix my Transmission overheated 3 times!!

like the oil cooler wasnot working and i need to know what might be wrong

 

like the throttle pos sen and tranny cooler?? :help:

the stock coolers are known to block up, thats why theres talk on here of bypassing them with another cooler

Yup, if you haven't done it yet do it NOW!

TPS doesn't have anything to do with trans temp. Get an aftermarket tranny cooler before your transmission kisses you goodbye.

Yea im getting a new auto bypass cooler system put in tomarrow

and a new throttle position sensor

whats with the tps? its got nothing to do with the auto trans

the more you step on the gas it senses it and the transmission shifts accordingly.

Er, you can adjust the TPS so it doesn't sense your pedal going down quite so early. They're all adjustable like that, I think.

I found out that when i put in the new radiator i also removed the oil cooler that was built into the old radiator

i was running with NO oil cooler!!

well i got the new oil cooler put in and the new throttle position sensor in too

i found out that the sensor was almost out of range and it was almost bad.

It runs SWEET now just like a new auto

I think that the sensor was detecting to late cause id gas it and after about 1 1/2 seconds it would enguage

How were you running NO oil cooler after replacing the radiator? Did you loop the ends of the cooler lines together, or what? The idea baffles me.

Spose it should have pumped all its oil out shouldn't it!!!!

Man, you are going to be lucky if that tranny sees out another 1000miles if thats what happened!!!

well isnt the oil cooler in side of the radiator or beside it?

thats what the mechanic told me wich shocked me

Yes, it's basically inside the radiator. Almost all stock radiators are like that. Ford, Chevy, Toyota, Dodge...
