Locking Diff

[89pathfinder]

Lookin around for a budget locking diff for an 89 pathfinder. I know 88pathoffroad has one in his rig. Anyone have any suggestions or tips on what to look for?

ARB sells an air locker (selectable locker)

 

There are detroits, but i think they stopped making them for ours

 

and then there are the lockrite lockers

Define "budget".

 

 

Most people = Lock Right for $235

Trust fund baby = ARB for ~$800

 

I got lucky and found a brand new Lock Right on ebay for $80. It was listed funny so I guess no one knew it was there when they searched for it, hence the cheapo price. I ended up trading it to L&P for a Stage 1 kit before I installed it, though. I figured what's the use of having a locker if you can't steer well enough to get to the trails anyway.
