Tranny Model Numbers

I need to find out whether or not the 87s with the 3 speed autos are a different block pattern compared to the 4 speed autos.

I am actually hoping someone on here has an 87 5 speed and can tell me what the model number is for their transmission.

basically i am trying to help out MileHigh on here, he is trying to figure out what transmission he needs to do an auto to manual swap. What i am hoping is that his 87 will accept the most commonly used 5 speed used throughout the 87-95.....i am assuming this is correct because i have yet to hear of another style 5 speed that was ever in a pathfinder....

yea which is what i thought. i was just making sure because of the randmonness of the 3spd autos...... didnt know if this same 3 speed was used in the earlier trucks, which then might mean that there is another model 5 spd.....so at least i have another who agrees with me so far....
