fondo
I bought my timing belt off ebay (in a kit with a water pump), the name of the brand is "preferred components incorporated" (PCI). My problem is that the belt does not have arrows to tell you which way the belt goes on. Should I just put it on so I'm able to read the numbers on it from left to right? My last belt had arrows on it (#'s and letters were upside down, arrows were pointing to the front of the vehicle). Does it matter which way I put the belt on also has anyone heard of this company and if so have they heard good or bad things. Thanks
5523Pathfinder
Well, I know the nissan belt is directional. The arrows point toward you when you put it on the the part numbers are not upside down. I would try and set it up the same. PCI, never heard of it. http://npora.ipbhost.com//index.php?act=At...=post&id=204051
Slick
the belts i use don't have arrows, but they do have solid lines....... check the entire belt to make sure they didn't sneak a arrow in there. if not... well then. either way will do. syazoo
I had the same issue with the belt I just installed. I determined direction because since my belt had solid lines spaced by the 40 and 43 cog count, then I could not make a mistake. 40 from RH to LH and 43 to crank. Only works one direction.
