iLLlegal Posted January 26, 2007 Share Posted January 26, 2007 ok so im trying to find an amp for my sub and i might have one but i need to know how many watts i can hmm "safely" pull off. im going to do the big 3 before i install the amp but im just wondering. govols74n Posted January 26, 2007 Share Posted January 26, 2007 I have a 1000 watt amp, just make sure that you install an in-line fuse between the battery and amp. When mine is cranked up high, the headlights flicker to the beat a little, thats all. You caould get a bigger amp and install a capacitor. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

88pathoffroad Posted January 27, 2007 Share Posted January 27, 2007 Yup. I have a Quest alt, 1.2F Phoenix Gold cap and a 1000W Legacy amp(puts out more like 690, I had it tested by a local shop).
