Yes, there were some earlier models, usually XE's with manual locking hubs standard. I believe these were only in the 2 door models from 87-89. If I remember correctly, all 4 door North American models came with auto hubs stock.

I believe it was the "E" models with no rear seats, vinyl floors and the 4-cylinder. One of the rarest models ever, besides the '90 2-door with the VG30E.

 

HB trucks came with manual hubs and they fit a 87-89 Pathfinder fine. Just make sure they're 27 splines before buying them. I'm not too sure about HB trucks with manual hubs and the 28 spline CV's, is all.
