Elkman
When I bought my 95 Pathfinder a couple of weeks ago, the seller said the cruise worked, but doesn't. The switch on the dash lights up when turned on, but nothing happens when I touch the set on the steering wheel. Is there a fuse somewhere I need to check? All the fuses under the dash are good. 88pathoffroad
Check to make sure the vaccuum line on the CC diaphragm under the hood is still plugged in and intact with no leaks. There is a CC module inside, I forget where though. Back end under the rear window on the driver's side, I think?

k9sar
mine didn't work after the shop repaired the fender damage. Turns out that they didn't have the hose from the CC pump to the diaphragm connected.
govols74n
Well, checked the infamous vaccuum line on the cc, it was torn on the end and loose so i cut the end off and put it on. Nice and snug, but still doesn't work. I'm on my wat to the parts store to get a new hose, it looks pretty dry-rotted......CROSS YOUR FINGERS 4 ME!! (I could care less about the cruise, lol, just bored during my holiday time off....can't hit the trails till I get my CV boots fixed -alcohol- pssd
mws
Hmmmm... if that hose is dry rotted, you should consider replacing ALL of the original hoses under the hood. Perchance has your pathy spent some time parked in a garage in which there is a refrigerator or freezer? Refrigeration compressors generate ozone which accelerates the degradation of rubber. govols74n
Nah, my hoses are all fine, just that one... of course someone else may have replaced them. I've only owned it for a year and a half or so. Edited January 7, 2007 by govols74n
