Strut Spacers - Final Say

Allright, I am new to the lifted Pathfinder world and have tried to do my homework, but I still don't feel like I fully understand the use of strut spacers. My questions are below. My setup will be the 2" coil lift with RS5000s in the rear and I already have the GR-2 struts in the front.

1.) What purpose do the strut spacers serve? Level truck? Prevent topping out? Other?

2.) Will my truck sit just like stock (front little lower than rear) except higher with the 2" coil lift?

3.) If spacers are needed to level, what size should they be with my setup?

4.) Will the spacers effect alignment, camber, etc.? Negative effect on other components?

Any and all info is appreciated. Thanks so much.

1) Increase front height.

2) Yes.

3) They aren't needed to level. Nissans handle better when they're a little nose-down.

4) Yes. It will also create increased wear on your CVs as the droop of the strut will exceed the maximum angles of the CVs.

I put a 1" spacer up front on my 03 with the Old Man Emu 2" lift and my front end sits just a little lower than the rear. I had a small camber problem but it only cost me a little over $100 bucks to get it aligned and that included the camber bolts. I also went with locking hubs to save the wear on the cv joints and gained about 1.5 to 2 miles per gallon on gas. I think without the spacer I would have the drag car look. Not my style.

do it but keep the sway bar on. what kind of wheelin do you do? I say keep the sway bar on so it wont let the front end articulate, once that happens you'll bind your CVs because the added 1 inch. with the sway bar you would have to be jumping the pathy to get both sides at full droop.

I had to put a camber kit on my pathy. I have the OEM lift and it is less than the AC lift. Just remember to put the camber kit on before you take it in for an alignment. Some places won't put on a camber kit unless it is theirs because of liability.
