Just ordered a set of Warn 2091 manual hubs, I read the how to on 89-95 pathfinders, I believe my hubs are different, not auto locking but fulltime locked. Is the re and re pretty simple on these, any tips to get me started are appreciated, thks.

Tips:

Just be patient. Getting those dat blasted dust caps off is a pain in the rear. Once you get those off, it's smooth sailing.

Be sure you replace the studs for the hubs though.

It's not very hard, but it can be frustrating. Take your time.

Here's a link to a bunch of pics:

Thks for the links and the info, those pictures say a thousand words, looking forward to this job, going to repack the bearings and replace the rotors and pads at the same time.

I have air, what is a PB blaster? Guessing from the looks of how the hub attaches to the rotor it is a penetrant. By the way, do you need a special tool to remove the wheel bearing lock nut?

not sure, but you will likely want them either off, or some type of open ended cap so you can access them to lock & unlock...

personally, I think they look fine w/o caps.

Ok, so the new hubs are on, man do those wheels ever spin easy now, this is how the vehicle should have been from the factory! Repacked my wheel bearings and replaced the rotors, pads and bearing seals. I couldn't believe the condition of the rotors and pads, the rotor innner surfaces were almost completely covered in a thick layer of rust with only a thin groove that was clean and acting as a braking surface, the difference in the braking action of this vehicle is incredible. I have a call in to the ministry of transport over this, when I purchased the vehicle a month ago from the Ford dealer here in Kingston, it came with a safety check. In my opinion, these brakes were not safe, the dealer has refused to look at the vehicle let alone warranty it. If you live in Kingston, be very careful buying from Ford, they don't seem to care about the safety of the vehicles they are putting out the door.
