That's right where the catalytic converter is. Perhaps it's missing a heat shield.

Could you attach pic where I can look that heat shield? My mech tell me is all good ?

There are two of them, one on the truck.. you should see a sheet of metal attached to the bottom of the body directly above the exhaust pipe/CAT.

 

There is also one on the cat (not likely to be missing) it is just a metal sheild that surrounds the CAT.

 

Both should be pretty obvious if they are or are not there
