trashman Posted October 2, 2006 Share Posted October 2, 2006 Took the 99 R50 we just got for an 8hour road trip this weekend DFW TO Galveston . This is a cool truck got 18.4 avg mpg running 75 ,very comfortable the new BFG longtrails handled great .had the bikes on the back and the fishing rods up top . just wanted to say thanks to you guys and your advice . the 3.3 had enough power for us just take the OD off and put your foot on the floor i luv the engine noise . When you're doing less than 90mph, it's actually pretty common if you're truck is stock and working properly. With the lift, 32s and my roof rack, I regularly get 17mpg highway at ~70-75mph.
