Where is the Turn Signal Flasher Located?

neither of my blinkers is working so I assume, since it's not the fuse, that it's either the switch itself or the Signal Flasher, problem is I cannot find it, I know its under the dash, I've been told it looks like a relay or "canister-shaped" If anyone has pics or general diagrams - stick men are cool - I would be forever appreciative.

According to the Haynes Manual it is Under the Dash ok ok and "just above the steering column".

A bare aluminum version like the yellow one is not unheard of either.

LOL thanks, I found it however it was not as round as the manual suggested, "roundish" and def was not yellow. After replacing this thing I still have no turn signals, so it's not the fuse, it's not the flasher, then it must be the switch itself? I have an XE which has no cruise or even adjustable wiper speed, is it possible/better idea to replace the entire cluster??? I do recall, long ago, some talk about switching wiper controls so that you could gain SE like features. I'm tired of making hand gestures.

The hazard switch is part of that circuit also.

It sounds like your multifunction switch may be bad. I had to replace mine to get the turns and heads operating properly. It's just a few screws + 1 plug + 25-50 bucks at your local auto salvage concern. The Switch looks like this.
