No compression on #6

I posted a while back about my rough running 88 Pathy V6. I finally got around to checking the compression. 1 through 5 were good and even, about 160 or so. On #6 however there was absolutely no compression. In fact the engine didnt even turn, just the starter was spinning. I havnt gotten any further than that but Im wondering if anyone has an idea what the problem is. Maybe a broken valve?

hmmmm no pressure in # 6 thats the pain all the way in the back...

Got me stumped atm..... Valves, rings any other noises???

No rod knock or anything but it does sound like an old 4 cylinder diesel. I popped the valve cover off but everything looks peachy. Ill pull the head tomorrow and see whats up

So you were not really able to check the compression on that cylinder because the starter did not engage the flyweel?

It engaged,,, what I meant was with the guage threaded into the the #6 cylinder the engine didnt complete a revolution, when I unthreaded it the turned over fine. It just sounded like the starter was spinning. Its kind of hard to explain. Im going out to pull the head right now.
