Dash light problems

I have the same thing going on....The dome light, under the dash light, and my door open dash light indicator comes on. It stays on for awhile and flashes on and off when I hit certain bumps in the road. Buddy of mine said it sounds like a loose connection with a ground wire some where... I looked over the negative battery cable and a few others, but nothing. I wish I had the money and the time to gut the darn truck and get a new wire harness for aeverything. Body off frame restoration and du it up right.

I'll just keep dreaming!

Actualy i was just out tinkering with it and I found that when you open the fuse compartment, look up and you will see a white harness. Turn on your lights and jiggle it and see if you can tape it and a direction where it will stay on. Well thats what I did and it seemed to work and, all i needed was electrical/duct tape.

heh...my 87 did that but only 1 side would go out i'd give the dash a good whack and it would come back on...but glad ya found the problem and u might want to take the time to follow it connects to make sure the wire is still intact i'd guess its loose in the connector if u havent blown any fuses but none the less it'd be good to know thats where the problem was...
