I couldn't figure it out, but the last time it did it, I was downshifting from 4th to 3rd. FYI, I have a manual trans. Any ideas? All the belts, clutch, water pump, etc... were put in when I got the new engine at 184440, and I now have 193, 883. I'll check. It's hard to hear where it's coming from while in the car.
