I just bought a 2005 Pathfinder

So far while under warranty the

800.00 Bose radio went out and was replaced

The A/C condenser went out - on my Jeep that was a 800.00 item

So the question is this

do you folks recommend the extended warranty ?

They are pricey at around 1500.00 for the package I was looking at ?

Extended service plans are great money makers for the dealers. Why?

Parts with manufacturing or installation defects usually fail within 12 months. After that things rarely fail for at least 100k miles.

So in that time period where the extended warranty would apply, failures occur very, very, rarely.

Personally, I never have signed up for them, and have never regretted it.
