  1. hey guys! haha ive missed everyone, and my pathy, of course. I'm pretty heavy into my coastal protection stuff now, but I bought a really fast jetta lol I know that sounds bad, but hey, this thing is QUICK>>>14 second 1/4 mile. Whats goin on with the pathy. something doesnt sound right, but with these things, chances are something isnt right...lemme know?? thanks man! -Ben
  2. hey if it isnt jd drinkin slick! haha how ya doin? personally, I think that paint scheme woul dbe savage! Ben
  3. congrats steevo! it seems you've come a very long way since u started this swap!
  4. no i think what stryker is asking is what would u do with the wires for the pl, pw, etc. when the doors are off, because "contrary to popular belief", his truck is equipped with such features. am i right max? and for that i'd just stuff them (plugs and all) as far into the holes as possible. i liked the half door idea too, tho! hmmm sounds like someone needs to go shopping at the jy!
  5. damn i think the best post on this thread was when vsicks said he the words "leaving" and "forever", IMO OF COURSE! gimme a break man you think everyone here is a as "smart" as you? god, get a life
  6. try your nearest junkyard. that should only be like a 5 dollar part or so p.s. i dont think you will damage the axhaust by running it this way IMOP Ben
  7. good question and since i am purchasing )hopefully) a 1990 pathy soon id like to know the answer to this someone so hopefully someone chimes in with some info. 88 maybe? Ben
  8. ha! i know how being without the pathy feels. ook my shop a little over 2 weeks to do my engine swap and i was heart broken! haha well hey man when u get your 4x finished hit me up and maybe we can get a bunch of guys together to go wheeling or somethin, try out the new system ya know. good luck bro! ben
  9. v6, youre very blunt, but you get your point out there. i on the other hand like jp's bumper and neri's design as well. i think i'll try my hand in fab if i get the new pathy ('90).
  10. hey steevo, btw, and a little off topic, but how far along are you with the gathering of the 4x parts? im getting a 1990, white, looks hella like yours but 4x of course and love the look of it...just wonderin when we can go wheelin with the new 4x memeber man!
  11. so where do i send this check to for both bumpers? lol good stuff man i definitely want one in white for my new '90
  12. hey but that body lift makes it soooo easy to get to! lol just adding to the wants sorry bout that!
  13. hey guys, well, i wanna nab a few black steely's from summit racing (they have free shipping ), but not quite sure if my tires are gonna fit and wanna get backspacing that sticks the tires out more than they are now (not at all stuck-out). can anyone give me some numbers, maybe even a model number of yours? thanks and merry christmas guys
  14. actually, it's fairly simple if a)u take your time, b)you don't cut corners and c)you have an air gun handy to break the main cap bolts and third member bolts apart with
  15. ya that interlock has saved my arse a few, if not many times...use it wisely however, holding the key over too long will fry the starter (already been down that route). anyways, try it out, get the feel for it, then use it to your advantage and let it work it's magic! (most important part: HAVE FUN) As for the security switches, they are as follows: impact 0n/off will let you set your alarm to off in the case of a collision when the truck is off. scenario: truck's parked outside, someone hit's it and you're not home. the alarm goes off and no one can shut it off. that's with the switch on. switch off will not set off the alarm so if the truck is hit, the alarm will not keep going and drain the battery, which would just be another pain in the arse, besides being hit. The Alarm on/off switch is the master switch for the alarm system: i.e. if you didn't want you're alarm to work at all, while allowing you to turn it back on whenever. can't think of a situation where u'd need that off the top of my head, but im sure someone will chime in with one. with that said, have fun and welcome to the boards!
