  1. When the $$ allows. Like Ben said I've got the Waggy axle and have it partially cleaned up, but haven't pulled anything apart on it yet. I'm goin to concentrate on getting it under the truck and steering first, and then worry about gears/locker. This is going to sound incredibly stupid, but I'm hoping to use some of my school loan money from summer term to build it, if I can get it all worked out right. I'm hoping to have it finished by the end of September, so I can sell the Escort and be back to only having one rig by the time school starts again next year. :aok:

  2. Probably spring under for now, 5.14s/lockrights f&r. As far as the NEEDing the SAS goes, I honestly don't NEED it. However, my steering isn't the greatest anymore (244k on stock steering), I've already had one UCA pull out of the frame, and the rest of my frontend is just going down the tubes. So instead of throwing $$ at the IFS, I'm going solid axle now because that's where I was going to end up eventually, it just costs less over the long run if I do that right now instead of rebuilding the IFS now and going to SFA later.

Oh, and as far as the axle stuff goes. It was touched upon, but the newbies may not know about the different flavors of driver-drop D44s. There is the Waggy 44 that comes out of 80-91 (I think) Wagoneers, driver drop, already 6x5.5 pattern, 60" wide I think. There is also the Cherokee Chief/J10 D44 that is about the same thing, only a couple of inches wider, 62" I think. The other flavor is the Ford high pinion D44, it's about 65" iirc, is high pinion where the others are low, uses coils rather than the leaves the others use, and has a 5x5.5" bolt pattern.

    :tonguefinger: <--kick@ss smiley!

  3. The H233b should bolt right in place of your c200, no problems there. The diff you're wanting to put in the front is actually an R200, and it will require some grinding on the diff, and the diff drop kit from Spencer Low Racing. Should be sweet, can't wait to see it go together!

  4. WELCOME BACK MR. JIM!!!!!!!!!!! As everyone else has said, awesome to see you back on NPORA again! Glad to hear you're back in the saddle and doing well! However, you forgot to mention how the Pathy was doing, on a Pathfinder forum no less, one YOU created? Lol, just a little ribbing, looking forward to the changes!

  5. DSCN0248.jpg

'96 Suzuki DR350. Bought it in 2000 and started college in 03, haven't gotten to ride it much since then. Still starts on or before the 3rd kick and is one of the easiest bikes to kick over I've ever ridden. I have my endorsement but don't have the bike street legal yet, too afraid of the idiot drivers around here.

  6. Actually, to swap in a V6 you'll have to use a different transfer case than the 4banger one. You could use a transfer case that came behind a VG motor, with the VQ engine/tranny supposedly. Or if you have access to the whole VQ drivetrain you could use all the parts. Then again, that could be out of a QX4 and be full-time 4wd which I'm guessing wouldn't be what you would want.

  7. I don't have a Pathy (yet) but my HB got a ton of gifts this year (new engine, lift, 33s, etc) so wasn't needing anything for Christmas. However, I gave it a couple character marks while learning to drive with a LockRight on ice (the lr was the Turkey Day present). It now has a pushed in excab panel, and a really cool scrape/dent on the door, both on the passenger side. It doesn't like the excab panel dent so I'll push that out, but the scrape on the door is like a really cool scar...and it wears it with pride...so I'll leave it. I'm contemplating getting the HB some presents in the new year, but 06 was a DAMN good year for it, so it can wait.

  8. A sweetass Golf (or is it a GTI? I can't remember). There's a 2dr being parted out in Meridian Cory, if you need some parts. It was hit in the side, but not hard. Blue interior too. I almost think, if you're thinking about selling both rigs for one, why not do that but buy another Pathy? I don't know what your Golf is worth, but maybe you could get rid of it and spring for a Pathy that costs half as much as you got for the Golf? I don't know what all your Pathy needs, but that might be a good alternative. There's a nice 2dr over here in the impound lot; if you're interested I could probably find out about it for ya...

  9. So yeah...I think Pathys are going to be pretty under-represented on this run. So far there's a sas'd 720 on 38.5s, an FJ40 on 36s, probably a nismo frontier, and probably 2 HBs that I know of. Where be the Pathys? I think the runs are going to be relatively tame, as one of the HBs only has 31s on it, mine isn't much better than that, and the new fronty will be NEW so it'll have the stock BFGs on it. It's been promised that there will be many bypasses, so if you've got a stock rig, or even almost stock (like mine) come out and cause trouble with us!

  10. Methinks it's going to be at Reiter. I'm planning on going, and am trying to talk extreme90path into going, but I don't think he'll be able to. Sounds like there will be more than a couple people up there, and since I've never met any of the NW people besides extreme90path (now my roommate), harby, and a couple HB guys, I'm really looking forward to this. Just gotta get a @!*%load of work done on the truck before then (including an h233b swap with lockright and L&P steering)
