  1. LOL...she(?) used the truck AS training wheels! I just picked up a '90 w/ 249,000 miles for $500. The former owner apparently thought it was a garbage dump but the sheetmetal and running gear are all gtg so far. But not nearly as good as my '92 w/310,000 original owner miles.
  2. FWIW - When I bought my '92 SE 4X4 new, the rear wind deflector was a dealer installed accessory. They didn't even know what I was talking about until I pointed to the picture in the pretty little book and said I want that...how much...I have the factory roof rack and added some black pipe bars to the top of them and clearance for 2x4's, 4x8 sheet goods and my canoe are no problem...
  3. Mine is like the one in the picture but the hose is stuck (like fused to) on the canister. Any hints as to how to remove it...
  4. Thanks, ordered Rancho RS5000's. Seems to be a good deal with price lower than OEM ($150 vs $210) and better performance characteristics (stiffer) based on the opinions of folks here...
  5. Sorry for the unclear question and misuse of the word "carry". I understand that the shocks dampen the rebound. My point in including the info about the winch etc...was that I do not know if that additional weight (additional resistance to the rebound?) is figured into the equation when considering what aftermarket shocks might work for my rig. Obviously I am a noob here cause it says so <-- over there, but I am also new to this whole re-rigging your truck thing too. I love my '92SE 4X4 which I bought new in '92 and want to start some basic and simple modifications. I like my 31-inch shoes but would not mind a little lift. Can I get that from just new shocks? I like the "sport" setting on the adjustable stock shocks but a little stiffer would be ok too. I do some mild off-roading and some snow/ice driving occasionally crawling over downed trees or short stumps but never serious rock climbing. Do you have any shock make/model recommendations or tried and true favorites that would fit this bill? Thanks for the help, Cachefinder
  6. I also have a 92SE with the adjustable shocks...What size/brand etc. do I need to get to fit an otherwise basically stock truck? I have a winch w/ pushbar/brush guards on the front that adds to the weight it has to carry there... Thanks
  7. '92 SE4X4 bought new with all original engine! Has 277,000+ miles and still purrs like a kitten...
