Absolutely Not. The timing belt gives no warnings before it breaks. Your odometer (and maintenance history) is the only sign that your timing belt needs to be replaced. It is due every 105k miles. However, if the timing is off, you will get poor fuel economy.

I can't find the better picture from the front....but that's me going through a 30"+ river crossing that was flowing pretty good. I haven't had any problems with water incursion. The splash guard wouldn't do anything in a situation like that anyways, as the water would come through the fenders, grille and everything else.

You weren't the only one C. I know several others who have bent that subframe, too. It ain't pretty!

Has your driving style changed recently? Have you been doing more city than highway lately? Did you fill up with E85? Pathfinders are NOT flex-fuel vehicles and CAN NOT run properly on E85. Tire pressures all OK?

How about the differential oil, transfer case oil, and transmission fluid?

You don't buy skidplates to protect against water. You buy them to protect against rocks, stumps, etc. They don't block much water at all, but they'll break a big rock in half. Which would you rather have, a dirty engine, or one without an oil pan? Also, think of it like this. You know that massive cross-member that runs along the bottom of that plastic splash guard. If you hit a rock, or stump or anything with that, you'll bend it. That part costs $1,800.00 from the dealer. Is it worth it to risk it?

Then your O2 sensors are fine. Check the timing. Has the timing belt been replaced yet? Check and clean the fuel injectors, change the fuel filter, change the spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor.

Do you have any Diagnostic Trouble Codes? Is your MIL illuminated?

Maybe your injectors are clogged up, or you have a clog in the fuel line.

My Pathy didn't like the Bosch plugs. It pinged like a SOB with them. I put some NGK platinums back in, and it runs like a champ.

They're about as effective as a Swamp cooler when its 70% humidity with dew points in the upper 70s. They're about as useful as a Chinese Keyboard on your US computer. They do about as much good as Ex-Lax when you already have the squirts. In other words....THEY DON'T DO JACK! Great scam though. Zonian...if you know of a place to get Headers, please share with us. Stillen made a single run of about 70, and then recalled them because they would crack at the collectors. They never made any more. Nobody else makes headers.

It'll be cheaper, and much easier to just trade it for a 4x4.

If you had actually read my post Max, you would have known that. On a MANUAL transmission vehicle there is no purpose for an AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION POSITION light. -thnkboutit-

You don't need to use wires off the Ign. Switch. Any Switched 12V source will work. Cigarette Lighter for example. If you need a constant 12V, your best bet is to run a dedicated wire (fused of course) directly to the battery.

Yup. I know that much...it's just wierd that Nissan QC let the Card go out with the verbage on it as it is.

Yeah, that's what happens on mine, too. It's wierd because the verbage on the card Nissan gives you makes it seem like the light would come on any time the T-case was in Neutral.

I noticed something strange on Saturday. I had been looking at my 4WD Operations Card that is stuck in the visor, and noticed something on it that I could swear my truck has never done. It says that when the Transfer-Case is in the Neutral the ATP light is supposed to illuminate. I discovered last night that I actually do HAVE an ATP light when I shifted my T-case into neutral and attempted to position the transmission in Park. (I KNOW I KNOW! Muchos Badness!) But it wouldn't go and just illuminated the light. No harm, no foul. But, that got me thinking. I can't recall a single occurence of the ATP light illuminating when the T-case was in Neutral, no matter what position the tranny was in. Alex said it works in his 96. Carri said she didn't think it did it in her 99.5. That got me thinking....maybe Nissan changed something for the 99+?? So, we'll take a running tally here...list your year, and whether the ATP light comes on when you shift the t-case into neutral. Automatic trannys only. M/T trucks don't have an ATP light.

Almost anywhere. Calmini's customer service is purely terrible. Their products are sub-par. Their website should be www.purecrap.com. Oh, let's not forget their "Steering Solution". Instead of popping TREs, it's wearing out the Idler Arm! I'd rather replace a TRE than an Idler Arm every 2 months! Go with the L&P, it's cheaper, and it won't screw up your truck...

I'm more bitter about yours, because I actually thought I had it until about 3 minutes left on the auction, ya turd-muffin.
