  1. I don't understand this one bit ..... the tor down the upper/lower down to 175 and yet the nuts still spins loose . The treads are fine along with the nut , want though four sets now . About to drill holes in them and cotter pen them all
  2. the reason the BJ looks loose is because the blot keeps spinning off , no cotter pin . there was no cotter pin or mount hole on any of the new BJ's ... I've found that to be very odd
  3. might as well go 100% calmini then ; 90% of my rig's suspension is done with calmini . I was delaying getting this but http://www.purenissan.com/control_arms.htm has what I need Though I'm kind of having mind farts ... My R/F is done the same way as the L/f and it has no problems what so ever , My L/F is give me hell ... wait ....... ah what if I lower my T-bars so the rigs is at a 45 degree angle , so the front end is at a nose dive XD would look like a rat rod .
  4. http://img383.imageshack.us/img383/5201/dsc00709sa4.jpg http://img370.imageshack.us/img370/8831/dsc00710qo3.jpg http://img383.imageshack.us/img383/9936/dsc00711er7.jpg there you all go fresh photos
  5. give me 30 mins to snap a few good shoots , and yes I don't like shims
  6. sure give me 5 mins heres link http://img361.imageshack.us/img361/8042/dsc00671ni5.jpg
  7. upper and lower control arms are fine , the R/F side is fine all looks the same . I don't understand why the L/R is tilting for . all parts are new all items are in spec . I'm thinking of just selling it .... have way to many rigs
  8. so you think its a aline problem then ?
  9. I can't no one will do it / I can't do it my self or I get fired ... plus they want to stick shims on it
  10. I hit a big hole while I was mudding/snowing and the L/F tire sits at a angle now eatting my tires up real bad . any rate I've replaced all the items linked to the wheel . upper ball joint/lower ,CV axle , tie rod end etc. the rig is still sitting at a angle here are some pictures need some input
  11. calmini is the best bet , ive had mine little over 1 1/2 years and no problems heres a link and you can find all your gear here too http://www.purenissan.com/3_lift_coils.htm
  12. the there is a low/high line , I know you can replace the low one with a rubber hose and clamps ; BUT the high pressure line you can't due to the fact its under pressure , unless you wield a new line to the old waste of time if you do . none the less buy new or go to a junk yard .
  13. part number#7-2091 from napa auto "be force full when talking to them they seem to have a hard time understanding anything " runs you 81.77 +tax NO and i repeat NO you can not replace the high P/S hose with clamps and a hose ... you your going to get a big pop sound and alot of P/S fluid everywhere speaking from personal events
  14. sounds to me that your air to fuel is a little to rich go to the back of your rig and smell the pipe , if there is a raw fuel smell post if not do a compression test on your rig to see if it fluxes
  15. when was the last time you did a tune up ? the engine is missing...not running on all cylinders – running rough – hesitating etc. Usually something like the need for a tune up, spark plugs or spark plug wires are the culprit of misfiring.
  16. I can agree with the whole 40 degrees wet drive way thing , had alot of them days .......
  17. Maybe your right on the squeel ; but out of all years being a salary mechanic I've only ran across it going squeel when you have a foreign object in it or there is a malfunction with the caliper . A rock is way to big for a squeel
  18. A rock would not make that kind of noise , more like a grinding sound . none the less check both rear and forward parts of the disc to rule that out . chinese bearings lol where did you get that junk from
  19. at what speed do you hear the sound ? does it happen when you turn too ? odd question when was the last time you filled your transfer case do you have a straight axle ?
  20. I know right with a full load of recovery equipment your scary cow grill on front daylights and your rack with a spare tire on it ; its amazing it gos 60 in 5-8 sec's I'm going to take off all the stuff and see how fast I can go stay
  21. Yes I do ; 5 is stretching it but its more like 5-8sec's none the less it pushes you back in your seat lol , i love to race them little rice burners off the stop light line .... sure my truck was not made for that but to see the looks on there face after I beat them is worth it . what is the avg speed for 0-60 on your rig ?
  22. Its strange , I'm only getting about 160 miles out of a full tank its a 87 and It runs at 3000-3900 rpm at top speed true I made the gears smaller to get more low end torque so I go from 0-60 in about 5 sec's with a full load ...... top speed being 70 and if going down hill with the wind blowing maybe 75 I've got a 3in body lift with 32's and manual locking hubs
  23. Idle speed at 900-1200 and when I have a test back to spec .
