Hey all, I have a 2001 pathy and need to know how to remove the spare tire. I can't believe I'm asking this question but I poped under the rear end today and thought there would be some lug nuts - nope... Any help would be appreciated. ~jrvanas

Yeah, I notice the the noise when driving next to parked cars or next to walls. I'm not sure if it's the front or rear end.... ~jrvanas

Hey Mark, The noise is there 24.7 when rolling - with or without gas and of course the noise is there with the brakes applied since the car is moving. The noise does not get louder with brakes appliued. I notice the noise on all pavement surfaces - have not been offraod. ~jrvanas

Well it looks like the "clunk" was related to the stearing connection - I think it was over torqued. I re-torqued them and the noise is very minimal now - I might re torque the whole front end if I have time. I replaced the shims on the front brakes and the noise is still there even with the lube. I might see if new brake pads do the job in a couple months. ~jrvanas

Well I replaced the shims and added anti-squeal lube to them. The noise is still there - do you think it could be the pads? Even though they aren't worn down? ~jrvanas

I tried to go for a lemon law - but in Mass I had passed the time and the milage required to file a claim. I'm just happy that the service engine light is now off. Good riddens! ~jrvanas

Not sure if there is a direct effect - meaning on the sensors - but I had to replace 6 sensors after having the 01 for only 6 months. The car was less then 2 years old and 36k on it with 4 sensors blown. Not only was I pissed but I was broke for a while too - lol. Thats why I found a dealer mechanic that would service under the table. I'm going to stick with 93 for a while till I feel the hole in my pocket. :furious: ~jrvanas

Hey all, I was using 89 octane and my o2 sensors "blew" up too. Needed to replace bank 1 and bank 2. Luckly the Nissan guy serviced my car under the table so it did not cost too much - but I have started to use 93 octane to rule out some options. ~jrvanas

Headers make a big difference on sound. I have not installed new ones on my pathy but I had a modified civic before the pathy. I had a retarded cam (4 degrees), intake, headers, exhaust and pulleys. The headers did not make it louder, but I would say it made it deeper. Of course this is on a 1.6L V4 single cam. Just my 2 cents - do people think the "deeper" note is the same for a pathy? ~jrvanas

Nice reply man, I have not installed wires, I think my next tasks are exhaust and tires before winter. After that I might shoot for some plugs, but I'm pushing about 245hp to the wheels with my intake, not sure if I need too much more for a SUV, not like im going to 1/4 mile this thing - heehee. ~jrvanas

Looks like my intake is getting me better milage too - I just averaged about 20MPG running about 50/50 city/highway. The 4% increase they state looks very promising. ~jrvanas

Hello, I installed my intake this weekend and I have two extra hoses just sitting there...the kit did not have a place for them. I have attached a pic with the labeled hoses. #1 went near the mass air sensor and #2 went directly into the air filter box. Do I need these or just leave them tucked away? Note: the hoses are not attached right now - just tucked away. :help: Thanks, ~jrvanas

Here mine is - got the intake on Friday - installed Saturday morning. Not too hard to intall - took about 1 hour. The only thing wrong with this kit is that there is a resinator I wished to keep - that mean I will have to drill some holes in the housing to attach the resinator - currently it is sitting there with velcro and a bungee cord.
