  1. I have mine anti theft rigged to cut power to the ECU. They still stole it... hooked it up to a makeshift tow truck and yarded it down the road to their stripping site. They never did get it started!

  2. That's All AIV stuff. Emissions crap can get rid of it entirely... that rats next sucks big time. MY1PATH posted a great thread detailing with pictures all of the TBI components and their funtions. It's pinned I believe, have a look.

Given the way the top end looks... I still say find a good motor. With frequent oil changes and a lack of heat the top end would never look like that. That much sludge is not a good sign.

If you want you can PM me and we'll talk about that harness. I've built a few of them.

  3. You can't do it with jackstands. The front tires need to be on the ground at the proper ride height. Something to put under the front tires so they can turn easily as you adjust the tie rods is a must. And yes there is caster and camber adjustments made with shims behind the UCAs. Caster is critical and camber will just wear a tire but you mess with one you mess with the other.

  4. That much torque on the motor may be opening up a crack in the intake tube or pulling on the MAF wires enough to cause an open. The ground is a known issue there are a few threads on it.

  5. It's best to do it hot after driving a while, idling in park. Doesn't sound like you have that luxury though so cold or warm. There's marks on the dip stick for each. Fluid should be pink, not brown or smell burned.
