  1. 1 - Susp lift, not JGC coils 'cause they're $$$$$$200-300 around here. I've put $60 Ford Maverick but I'm still testing, after 3 weeks on-road I'll go wheelin' this weekend and see how it goes...

     

    2 - Skid plates, maybe next week if I'm not lazy and go down the truck and draw the skids in a paper so I can have someone fabbing it for me...

     

    3 - Idler arm brace, together with the skid plates...

     

    4 - Tires, mines are Wrangler AT 255, I'd like 32" Muds but I'll be happy with 31" Muds...

     

    5 - Maybe a snorkel... :P

     

    6 - A custom bumper that can hold a winch... :D

     

    7 - Some nice friends to go wheelin' with me and whenever I'm stuck they give me the beer and get out of the car and push it off the mud for me... B)

  2. I don't think measuring from the bumper to ground would be the better way to compare lifts... as long as measuring from the fender to the ground, it can be affected by the tire size. Alright, we can say "mine is a 31", "mine is a 255" and so on, but even the same nominal tire size can differ much depending of the brand. BFGoodrich 31" are 882mm, Goodyear Wranglers 31" are 877mm, just 1/2" higher than Goodyear Wranglers 255/75-15 which measures 863mm. :wacko:

    I think it is better to measure from the center of the wheel (at the middle of the center cap) vertically to the begginning of the fender flares. That way, we'll only have two variables:

    1 - people who don't have a fender flare will measure to the fender and then subtract let's say 2" (I don't know exactly)

    2 - people who have a body lift will subtract the amount of body lift, for example, 3"

    I guess this way we can ignore the very highly variable tire size... ;)

    The front shocks are really shorter than RS5252. I don't think they will fit, mainly with a front lift.

    Rear shocks are have a bit longer travel than RS5118, a bit more length extended and compressed. But I don't know if that 0.427" of extra extended length and 0.214" of extra travel will work fine with 2"-3" of rear lift.

  5. Where can I get the Bilstein's shocks specifications? I've found a very good deal on a l set and I wanna know if they'd fit on my 94.

    The #s are:

    F4-BE5-2791-HO (front)

    F4-BE5-2792-HO (rear)

    They are new, but were bought for a Ford Ranger.

  6. flnl: the distance is 20.5".....why do you ask? I measured the front also and they are 20.5" also believe it or not.

    Just to compare. As I don't have $$$$$$1500 to import a Calmini kit or $$$$340 for a single Calmini coil, and JGC coils are $$$$ too, even at junkyards (and hard to find), I put another coil spring in the rear and I wanna know how much of real lift I have achieved compared to, for example, Calmini. The rear measurement from my Path is 19.5", so I think I've got 2". Maybe I can search for an alternative to get an extra 1".

    In the front it's 17", but that's funny: the driver's side is reindexed and I see I can easily crank at least it 1-2" up. The right side isn't reindexed but is fully cranked. Thanks to a susp shop who changed the bushings :angry:

    So, I guess I can get more 1-2" of lift on the passengers side. That way, I can be 18-19" front and 20" rear (from the middle of the wheel center caps).

    I asked about that measure cause I think that's the only way the tire size won't make any difference, just if you have a body lift. ;)
