  1. I will check with the local dealers, maybe I will get lucky. Rights now I'm glad Mi doesn't have vehicle inspections.
  2. You ever try putting some kind of RTV or gasket sealent in the outside of the manifold as a cheap quick fix? Don't need it to last forever but I can't afford to do it now.
  3. More like a horsepower trick. It has a better affect with V8s or anything with a LOT of accessories. I know a couple of hot rodders that have done it or some of my friends that offroad Dodge pickups did it.
  4. I know in MI if you spin the tires it is an "unsafe acceleration" which is the same fine as a reckless driving but no points.
  5. 4 ways (x2) Tire iron Jumper cables (x2) Radiator fluid Bug wash flares yellow strobe light (magnetic vehicle one) zip ties ratchet straps tow rope tow chain FULL first aid kit flashlights (x3, 2 are LED) Engine Oil Gear Oil Chassis Grease and grease gun scissor jack floor jack random assorted hand tools
  6. I wonder how much he would sell it for
  7. I can turn the engine off for 30 seconds and it will tick again. What did you do to yours to get it to go away?
  8. Ok, I just got hold of a 92 Pathfinder, V6 5 spd a few days ago. Test drive went fine, drive around went fine. Drove about 40 miles at about 80mph and did fine. I finally drove it home (120 miles at about 75mph) and I noticed a ticking coming from the motor upon exiting the freeway. It increased and decreased with RPM. I added Lucas Oil Additive (previous good results w/ other vehicles) to see what would happen. Ticking almost completely disappeared. I can hear the noise on idle after the truck has sat (regardless of air or engine temp) for any period of time. I can also hear it while in motion if the trans is in one of the first 3 gears if the motor is cool. I don't think it is a lifter or pushrod cause it started suddenly, but with no loss of power and no change in the "feel" of the vehicle. Intake gasket leak? Something about these pathy's I don't know? Thanks in advance.
  9. I just got a 92 with 117,000 miles. Interior needs work but it runs great.
  10. I had a similar issue with the "fog" lights on my ram. I had a set of KC Hi lights Daylighters and had them turned in and went to court. The trick is to convince th judge you thought it was essential for safety. I was driving in the middle of a blizzard so it was an easy argument to make, espacially with how many cars got in an accident that night. I don't know about the whole uncovered thing, I don't think we have that in michigan.
  11. I asked one of those tuner kids about that, he said to save weight. He got pissed when I said he could probably save the same amount by going on a diet.
  12. Has anyone discovered how much you would have to tilt the whole truck to get the required amount in?
  13. Not to threadjack a DIY, what do you think of the autozone u-joints?
  14. What do you mean pedal control for when an automatic shifts? Some guys on my Ram forum said something similar, he never explained though.
  15. I prefer manuals, mostly cause I control when it will shift and don't have to worry about an automatic shifting on me at a bad time when I am doing something stupid.
  16. When I am just cruising around I ride my bike (84 ZX750), or just suck it up and pay the cheapest guy I can find.
  17. This is more of a question than a suggestion but if you disconnect the battery for a few minutes then wait will it reset it? Kinda like OBD I and OBD II cars?
