  1. I have an XE and love it. Only thing I wish I had was the tire rack on the hatch.
  2. Ok, back on topic. The issue was the tires. I was comparing the tire size to the door sticker, which is for an SE same color and year as my rig. My VIN reads as an XE. So either just the sticker was replaced or that whole door was. Who knows. Thanks all for your help. (In michigan the signs are green)
  3. Be careful. It WILL throw off your speedometer
  4. Let's add to the madness. I have a friend of mine who is a local police officer and he was bored the other evening. My speedo is spot on at 25mph (speed limit), and 45 mph (ran out of road). But at the same time I drove with a friend of mine on the freeway and at 70mph my speedo is off by about 13 (+/- ~2). Does this make sense to anyone?
  5. Does anyone know of a way to read/decode the VIN to determine for sure? Or where the SE and XE dealer option packages?
  6. The Speedometer does not jump, I have some random off brand all terrains the PO put on, they are 31's. Which Pathy's came stock with 31's and how can I tell which kind my Pathy is? Most of the factory badges have been removed. I have an LSD (tested by gravel peel-out method), manual windows and locks, V6. The spare is inside the hatch, not on an exterior rack... In Mi you can't exactly contest the radar, the judges get a little pissed if you waste their time trying as well. Plus this particular officer was "nice" enough to write the ticket as "impeding traffic" which is $50 more for the fine but doesn't have any points. I can't exactly fight it and don't really want to. But I would like my speedo fixed.
  7. Ok, I managed to get a ticket for doing 83 in a 70. But my speedometer read 70 cause I spotted the speed trap a quarter mile away and MADE SURE my speed was 70. What can cause this great of an error in the speedometer other than tire size? The tires on my Pathy are the stock size (according to the local tire shop anyhow).
  8. ^ And another point for the lovely lady < Lookin for food V Knows where to find some
  9. Still beats tearing apart the whole exhaust
  10. ^ WTF is "pickled herring" < Just had steak leftover from dinner v Doesn't know what a "pickled herring" is either
  11. ^ Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional < Just gave the Pathy a mud bath V Wishes they had done the same
  12. As far as I go, remans are baaadddd news. If you want a reman, buy a kit and rebuild it yourself. You can trust your own work. Otherwise buy new. I would try Autozone. They have a "Duralast" brand that has a lifetime warranty, no questions asked.
  13. ^ Wishes I would send him rum < Was referring to motorcycle riding, but I BMX too. V Thinks crotch rockets are for young punks
  14. ^ Used to do that for a living too < Is about to ride some twistys on my bike v Has no clue what that means
  15. Let me know how much you end up spending. I will probably do mine myself once I free up the cash and the workspace.
  16. Sounds like the same problem. So far if I let her warm up and just drive around town its fine. When it's cold it makes racket. If I cruise on the highway for a long time it makes worse racket. Seems like driving at 80mph for an extended period of time allows one part to expand from heat more than another.
  17. ^ Thought something smelled funny < Is hungry v Has food
  18. I second the whole "jump it" idea. While you git the hood up, check to see if you blew any fuses for the starter.
  19. ^ Should "break down" on way to BBQ < Isn't all that tired, just woke up v Has been up for a while
  20. I will check with the local dealers, maybe I will get lucky. Rights now I'm glad Mi doesn't have vehicle inspections.
  21. 99 Shots of Vodka on the wall... Nah, Doesn't seem to have the right ring to it. Who needs shots on the wall anyway?
  22. Shots like you wouldn't believe. Not exactly legal for me to drink but the general rule around here is old enough to serve, old enough to drink.
  23. In that case I won't feel bad about chiming in late. HAPPY B-DAY!!!! (the next shot is for you )
