  1. As you can see Josie is riding shot gun where she belongs. I wouldn't have it any other way. She's a fantastic girl.
  2. Where you can ohm out your fuel injectors. (VG30E) Disconnect the middle harness connectors, the two that I disconnected were the bottom two of a group of four connected to the engine control harness. From there you can ohm out the harness as well as each of your injectors. The picture shows which terminals to put your probes on to check each cylinder's injector. Each should ohm out between 10-14 ohms. I hope this is clearer than mud. ohm out injectors
  3. Follow up here and it looks like the verdict is in and Slick's the WINNER. But I had a lot of help from the manual from K9sar. I finally got back into checking this issue out and it looks like I have 4 bad fuel injectors. They should ohm out between 10-14 ohms and only 2 did. It's not running yet as I still have to find some affordable injectors now. I will also take a few pics and post of how and where I was able to ohm them out. Once again, Thanks.
  4. Thanks K9. That is better and more complete than what I had before. I was able to get it started and it ran very poorly. It will not even idle. I do feel it is more fuel related as I have to keep the gas pedal 1/2 way down to keep it barely running and it is missing something terrible. I'm thinking Slick might be on top of it with the fuel injector issue. I am going to check fuel pressure and rule a few other things out first but have I have so little time to work on it. That is why the delays of reporting back with my findings here. My Maximum ended up being the battery. That is the first time I have seen a car crank as good as it did and still fail to start as it should. I had to be dropping the voltage from the battery just enough that would some how keep it from firing up and running. Another lesson learned.
  5. Thanks K9sar. Naw, no dialup here, it took about 20 seconds. I'll check it out later tonight as my 03 Max failed to start for me last night. Priorities ya know with it being the wife's car. That is a first for me in 5 years of owning this Max and never had any type of problem.
  6. I also loosened the hose between the rails in hopes that it might bleed any trapped air but I guess not. Worth a shot I guess.
  7. I looked in what info I have and found each of the connectors for the injectors. But what I can't find or read is the harness connectors for all the injectors. (101E or 102E or 103E or 104E). I found your response k9sar to a post "Need help, trouble codes 21 and 51" but was unable to read the procedure to the connector numbers. Thanks for the help so far.
  8. Are there any thoughts on a 51 Injector Circuit. ECU Flash Code. I was able to get that code from the ECU. The beast would hardly keep running and runs extremely rich until last night when I could not get it running. I do know it has old gas so I'll get some fresh gas in it. I tried to get it started last night to check the the MAF wiring/connection but the battery was shot. The MAF sensor has just been cleaned and seems to be fine when I ohmed it out meaning I didn't get an open reading between A,B and C. The hood is not an issue as it has been open during all of this. The fuel filter was also recently changed. Does the fuel system need to be bled in some special way? I thought I read that here somewhere. Anyway, long story short is that it has mainly been sitting for close to 2 years. I replaced the starter and did a body lift. I also replaced some of the cracked vacuum lines.
  9. I was thinking mine was like a charcoal gray with a touch of rust here and there and here and there and ..... I'm soooooo confused as it's not one of my multiple guesses. Man I hate tests. I'm so confused. It might be that "other" color. We are not having this tallied in FL are we?
  10. Dumb newbee question here. Would a dana 44 out of a 93 dodge ram 150 with 3.90 gears an open diff be any good for a SAS? If not what should I be looking for?
  11. The directions in the AC kit that I got from 4x4part.com says for 86-90 uses 10x180mm. My 94 took a bigger and longer bolt than that (no idea on the size now). Those were added to my kit before it shipped. If you are sure that is what you need then you are welcome to mine just for the shipping.
  12. So far it hasn't been all that terrible. I am totally replacing all the the hoses due to age. Most are too hard to trust for me. It still has the what looks to be the original lower radiator hose. I guess I'll have to go to Nissan for the larger power steering hose. The only thing I have found so far, size wise, is a heater core hose. Not too sure it would hold up over time. The new bumper brackets I haven't figured out just yet. I was going to use the old bumper until I get my new one built. I have to agree with most that this kit has room for improvement.
  13. I am in the final stretch of my 3' body lift. All the pucks and bolts are in and tight. I too had a little trouble with the rear two body mounts and the bolts lining up. I also loosen up the mount and moved it around with little effort all was in. I later noticed the biggest reason that my right rear failed to line up. The front half of the mount and the frame was no longer together as rust won that battle and the frame lost. During the removal of the bolt just in front of the right rear wheel well, I actually was able to break it twice trying to get it apart. Good little trick. I have twisted off a lot of bolts in my time but not same bolt twice. Other than the few little issues it has gone well. I guess to have about 7-8 hours in it so far. I now have far more room to deal with the frame rust that is running rampant on the right side. This baby has not been taken care of at all. The additional room will help with the oil filter relocation that will have plenty of room now to fit in not to mention all the room to put the new starter in. That is where this all started, it failed to start and inherited the Pathy problems and all. It's not my DD so I'm not in too much of a rush. I do want to get it out and play but with what all I have come across I'm going to make it a little more trustworthy. I have already decided to make my own tube bumpers and sliders. I can build them far cheaper that buying them not to mention the satisfaction after they are done and on. Well, I'm outta here and back out to my Pathy as my son will be here in a short. It has been a great experience for the both of us. He talks of getting a Heep some time. I will try to get some pics up later but as of right now it is still up on stands. Not that I don't have pics of that either.....LOL. Later ....
  14. Nope I didn't read it right. Not sure if it was a smudge on the B or my glasses. Yep, the R is really a B. Thanks for all the help. I'm not at all worried with the pathy as much as I don't know what all has been taken care of on the rig. It had a new oil filt but the new air filter was short by about 1/4". I'm a long time Nissan owner. I also now have .... I mean the wife has a 03 Max and with the new styling of the 09 ............... OH MY. Didn't much care for the styling of 04-08 Max. I read the other day about Nissan's owner loyalty is the the highest of all the auto makers. So high that it is almost considered a cult and I'm happy to be a member. Precise, I promise not to hold it against ya for not buying a Haas ..... LOL. Just one big dysfunctional family. I think Slick has another fan member too. Again, thanks for all the help everyone. I plan to share the pics and progress as I go along. OH, and another noobee question, what is POHO?
  15. Hello all. Love the forum, so much info that it hard to find stuff a day or two later if I wasn't paying attention at where I was.....LOL. A little bit about me. I am a machinist by trade and a mechanic by heart. I now install & repair Haas CNC equipment and have been for a good many years now. I'm also hoping to find a fellow NPORA member or so close St. Louis. Anyway I have my baby (94 XE 4x4) home and up on stands. wheels off, starter off, oil filter relocation going on as well as the battery relocation and I hope to do a 3" BL soon. She's very used and abused but I hope to save her for a better day. She's not my DD so no rush. I have already done several things that I found on here such as cleaning the leaves out of the blower box. I'd rather make it more dependable than get it out too soon with 200K. I am taking pics as I go and plan to share After reading so much and taking in so much, I was wondering what all can I learn what I may have or did have at some point. Here is the vin JN8HD17YXRW223959 and any info I could find. Type WHYD21, Model WHLYD21DJKRU88, Trans Axel RE4RDIA HG4b, Color KH2 K, Plant W. I "think" that it has a LSD. In park the rear wheels turn backwards toward each other but in neutral they both turn in the same direction, LSD or not? I found no tags or stamped numbers anywhere. I have more questions but they can wait for another day. Thanks all.
