where is the coil located also i saw this red capped wire coming from the cap and going to this black rectangler box whatis it.

were still getting no spark its a new distributor i put in, is there some kind of fuse to keep power from the distributor.

we first thought it was a distributor, but today i replaced the distributor with one from ebay and still nothing just turns over no fire is there some kind of fuse to replace or what im lost

My 88 pathfinder wont start and we think it's the distributor, i have a replacement for it off of ebay. but im really hesitent to take it out for ive heard alot of people say it messes the timing up if you take it out, and dont put it back exactley right.im wondering if the electronic part i could swap out of it instaed of taking the whole thing out or is that what causes it?

My 88 pathy has 75,408 miles on it thats pretty young for a pathy althogh the distributor went out pain in the @## to replace.

well i dont have the cash to get new o2 sensors so the guy at oreillys said to spray carb cleaner on them to just clean the crud off. And we did do that test with the spark plug and spark plug wire we saw no spark.

My 1988 pathfinder 4x4 wont start after i cleaned the maf and o2 sensors.It ran the best it has ever run since i had it so smooth and quiet like brand new,then i turned it off and let it sit maybe 2 hours then checked the oil and tried to start it just keeps turning over, it's getting gas we dont know about the spark. But it happend so fast no warning.
