I made the mistake of putting cheap struts with 2" spacers on my QX4. Too much sag, and it shows with the new 9447 springs and 5100 Bilsteins in the rear, I'm getting about 3" in the rear vs stock. So I ordered the KYB GR2 and OME HD springs with the RRO 1.75" Trim Packers. Would you guys recommend running a spacer from SF Creations in place of the Trim Packer if I'm looking for about 2.5" of lift? Any other issues?

Just ordered the Bilstein 5100's with 2" lift. With the new 9448 springs my son should be stylin'!

What shocks would you recommend with those 9448s?

It might be the shocks bottoming. It’s a pretty harsh bottom out sound. I replaced the shocks with standard length shocks. Maybe I should go longer? What shocks do you recommend? Do you still have those 9448s? They might work ok for me? If so, I’d gladly pay for shipping! I’m thinking that given I carry bikes on the back maybe the heavy duty 9448/9449s might be better? With a 2inch spacer on the front would you guys go with a 9446 with or without 2inch rear spacer? Or 9447 with or without 2inch spacer? Also these springs are side specific? I need a left and right side? And some appear for right hand drive cars and some for left hand drive? What do the stripe colors mean? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well, I have a 60lb bike rack on the rear (with the extended leverage upon oscillation it's probably like having 150lbs in the trunk), and about 100lbs of stuff in the trunk. When I took the stuff out of the trunk I could no longer bottom out the suspension by bouncing up and down on the hitch ( I weigh 200lbs). I would imagine with the leverage of the bike rack gone, the bottoming out will be gone as well.

I just put Moog 81115 springs in the rear a few weeks ago. With SF Creations 2" spacers. Are these too soft?

My QX4 had a hard bottom out sound when going over speed bumps, potholes etc, so I put new springs and shocks with 2" spacer in the rear. It's better, but still getting a hard bottom out when going over a speed bumps at any speed faster than 10mph. Is there a bump stop solution? Ideas?

I have a shop down here in the SF Bay Area that does custom work. Unfortunately, I don't have a torch/welder at my place in Palo Alto. Will be copying this one! Awesome looking set up!

My owner's manual states Matic D or DexronIII/Mercon. I just ordered the Matic D. It's a little more expensive, but better safe than sorry with a transmission.

I can't seem to find a good answer on this. The recommended fluid is Nissan Matic D, I think. What alternatives are there? Anyone with experience? I talked with a mechanic today and he said anything other than Matic D might harm the seals, another mechanic said he uses an alternate fluid with no issue.

Yep, that is a 1Up Super Duty rack.
