  1. Just had the struts and half shaftsreplaced within 200 miles by a reputable shop. The front end was aligned and I believe they would have found a bad LBJ, thanks for clarifying the acronym, or perhaps damaging the strut during installation. But, will go back to shop to discuss noise. MTG
  2. OK, looked at the sway bar links that look to be properly seated and good. I will remove the front plastic pan to check the sway bar bushings. MTG
  3. Please excuse my misinterpretation of LBJ. Must be an acronym that I not not of. MTG
  4. Replaced the front struts and half shafts on my 2000 SE. But, still have a front end noise when going over bumps. Any ideas? Thanks and merry Christmas. MTG
  5. Solved my paint problem. The spot that required a small touch up was on the roof under the roof rack cross bars difficult for most, particularly my small stature wife, to view. Heck .5 onces exorbitant prices is BS. Therefore, carefully sanded, wiped well with alcohol and painted with Rustoleum blue right out of the can. Ninety five percent of people will never see this. My wife definitely will not unless she climbs 6’ ladder. Problem solved! I am not a genius, merely handy with paint and small brush. Good ‘nuff! MTG
  6. I saw .5 ounces on Amazon. Don’t believe that would cover the area that needs touch up.
  7. OK, found it. The code is BV6, Bayshore blue metallic or similar. Now where to find 18 year old touchup paint. Nothing at Duplicolor.
  8. Where is the paint code located on my 2000 Pathfinder SE? Just had the front struts and the half shafts replaced as it appears the replaced parts were original on this 144, 200 mile Pathfinder. Lots to do to ready it for mild off-road trips. Will install aftermarket basket rack, receiver mount fuel can carrier, driving lights and more. This will be for mostly back roads, mild two tracks and hunting. Have been reading lots of posts for the R50 Pathfinders for information. MTG
  9. Hello all, new to this forum but not off-roading. Just purchased a 2000 R50 with 144,000 miles on the odometer. Looks great overall but time will tell. Plan to do mild off-road modifications. This model is the 3.3L with a 4 speed automatic in a 4x4 configuration. My question is, will manual Asian 28 spline hubs from a Geo Tracker, Asian, bolt directly on to my front wheels? Looking for a bit more mileage and less wear on half shafts. I do mild off-roading and turning hubs in and out not a problem. Will add roof rack, decent bash plate, better off-roadvtires and other minor mods for mostly back road driving and everyday DD. BTW, also own 2000 Xterra that has been my DD and off-road rig for some time now. I am very familiar with the 3.3L, suspension, auto trans, etc. Thanks all for your input. MTG
