  1. Usually it's the switch that's gone bad. IIRC, those connectors are either for diagnostics or options that US models don't have.
  2. What modifications were needed to get the 00 Pathy seats to work in a WD21?
  3. Possibly... but it's more likely that putting the TB cleaner in and increasing the compression put more load on the belts and he popped it. By all means, pull the spark plugs out and try to turn the engine over, but I suspect that it's still not going to rotate.
  4. At a guess? Timing belt was overdue for changing, jumped time, and you slammed one or more valves, locking up the engine.
  5. Even if you don't get reverse back - if you keep an automatic in the truck, put a BIG transmission cooler in it.
  6. This ought to be interesting. Nobody's successfully done a SAS on a R50 that I'm aware of. Any bets as to when the chassis cracks or warps?
  7. Yeah, but that's with all cars. And it's lame and doesn't always work to get you out of a situation. The LSD equipped WD21s go places that non-LSD/non-locked WD21s can't and that other trucks need lockers to get to.
  8. Pre-93 trucks are not the same in terms of general wiring, FYI. In fact - as an example - as I've just learned, the 89- 4/90 trucks with automatic climate control have a different wiring loom and climate control head unit from *any* other WD21.
  9. Mostly it's supposed to scream and yell if someone opens the doors, hatch, or hood. Note that it doesn't surveil the rear GLASS, just the metal hatch. Unfortunately, it has a 15 to 30 second delay, during which if the offending door is closed, it simply resets without ever having made a noise whatsoever. Pretty much worthless. Especially in your case, where the potential thief might have a key. Why? Because if you start the car during that time... it never goes off. Starting the car will also shut up the alarm if it is already sounding. It also has no glass break detection and the impact sensing is pretty bad too.
  10. That's the factory 90 alarm. However, if yours is like mine, there's no remote and the alarm is pretty much worthless.

  12. Oh. You got the supposedly OEM Kelly Springfield/Duralast belts. 1. Kelly-Springfield is Goodyear's "budget" line. They're now being repacked/rebranded by AutoZone as Duralast belts. 2. K-S belts are quite often crap and wear quickly, even if properly tensioned. 3. Nissan belts are made by Dayco or Gates, usually Gates. 4. K-S belts are not OEM for any major maker. Goodyear, the parent company is, but the K-S stuff isn't. You got taken by an auto parts store.
  13. What brand were these supposed OEM ones?
  14. Can I get a good pic of your front bumper without the grille guard in the way? Send it to spktyr@gmail.com if you need to.
  15. Search the archives, there's been discussion of this before. The 94/95 brush guards may not fit earlier trucks without retrofitting. And you may have an earlier bumper fitted.
  16. Well, you can have (for the cost of shipping) my slightly bent front one to see if it lines up on your frame. It should, as I was playing around with swapping parts off of a 93 for a while.
  17. FYI, a new one *from the dealer* is only around $60 or less.
  18. What, the "Jeep club" didn't know? Yes, it will swap on. However, you may have to swap the bumper brackets for it to work.
  19. Mink oil is bad - it will eventually rot out your leather seats. Over in the Jaguar world, we all swear by this stuff: http://www.leatherique.com/ Their Prestine Clean and Rejuvenator Oil are by FAR the best things to use to care for and clean leather. They're not cheap, but they are astoundingly effective.
  20. Haven't seen them in metric per se. I got these gauge faces/overlays from eBay.
  21. Check your tension/compression rods in your front suspension (one per side - if 4WD, they form the trailing side of your lower "A-Arm" setup). One or both is probably broken; or at the very least you've got missing bushings on one.
  22. The WD21's deflector replaced the glass hinges as well...
  23. How to replace WD21 tire carrier bushings and pins: http://faculty.ccp.edu/faculty/dreed/Campingart/nistail/ (not my site, just coincidentally came across it in the archives.)
  24. The current URL for this thing is: https://www.4x4parts.com/catalog/product_in...roducts_id=2867 It looks like the Nissan dealership kit. For later location, it's on their site under Trail Gear: Trail Accessories: Swing Away Tire Carrier Mount.
