Thanks everyone for the replies, you guys are catching stuff just from these minimal ads that I had no idea about. I've called the guy with the 2 door but he has yet to make time for me to take a look. Also, he apparently reduced the price to $1200 just this morning even though I've already expressed an interest in purchasing it... suspicious? Nice spot! And now that you mention it in the 4th picture I can faintly see some rusty discoloration below the rear door in the same position. How can you tell the window was replaced? Oh dang, that's quite a pathfinder collection. Which listing are you referring to in this case? All good points. The picture quality did strike me as odd initially but I kind of dismissed it. I've gone to see several vehicles in the last couple months, all 90's-00's nissans and toyotas. On two occasions I've lost a literal race to get a great deal on a tacoma or 4runner haha. Other than that everything I've seen has been in disappointing condition. Also I'm a total snob for manual transmissions, which makes finding a 4x4 that much more challenging.

I won't go into detail right now, but my beloved R50 was totaled. Just weeks after new wheels/tires and other parts as well. So now I'm looking for a replacement and this nice looking two door came up recently for $1400: http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/cto/5527761196.html Any thoughts? Also there is this '92 available as well for only $100 more, with the same number of miles: http://sandiego.craigslist.org/nsd/cto/5526860254.html Any reason I should take one over the other? I heard there were some changes between the 80's and 90's models, but overall I'm not too familiar with the 1st gens, and don't know how many headaches I should be expecting with these older vehicles. Thanks for your help. -JJ

So you actually had a good experience with ebay lugs? I might get these then, as I also found a Nissan-specific hub centric wheel spacer with a 100mm CB and 12x1.25 studs. Couple those with 106mm to 100mm hub centric rings and I think I've got my setup! Just need tires now haha. Thanks for the help!

Thanks for the info, those are the correct center bores as far as I know. So you didn't need any spacers ("adapters") to fit your wheels and tires? Say I went with them anyways, would I still need hub centric rings for the inner diameter of the spacer and the hub? I'm not turning up anything that says so... Also, I'm getting the impression that I should shy away from the cheap ebay lugs, such as some of these: http://www.ebay.com/bhp/toyota-lug-nuts Instead I was gonna try and grab some from a nearby junkyard that has a ton of old 4runners in their inventory.

I was hoping to get some insight on my little project to make sure I’m on the right track. So I picked up a set of 16x7’s from a 1998 4runner for meager 50 bucks, with the intention of replacing the stock 15x7’s on my R50 and throwing on some 265/75/R16 tires, all complementing the 2” spacer lift from 4x4 Design which I have already installed. Couple things about the 4runner wheels: -Backspacing is ~4.5” if I measured correctly, so I will be getting spacers -Center bore is slightly bigger than stock wheels, ~a few mm -It appears they use shank style lugs as opposed to the tapered ones that I currently have -According to my research 4runner studs are M12x1.5 and Pathfinder’s are M12x1.25 Based off this information I can’t use the lug nuts that I currently have due to the taper, correct? It seems like my best bet is if I used OEM 4runner lug nuts to mount the new wheels to the spacers, and then hope that my spacer kit can include M12x1.25 lugs for mounting the spacer to the hub. Additionally, should I be worrying about getting “hub-centric rings” or something of the like for mounting the spacers? As I don’t know of anything sold with our exact bore size. I’ve browsed other topics and it seems people tend to think that it’s not an issue as long as the lugs are torqued in the proper sequence. Sorry for the length, so does anyone have experience installing Toyota wheels on their pathfinder? Is there anything I’m overlooking or is my thought process ok? Also, are there any recommended products/manufacturers you guys have? Any and all input is appreciated. Thanks for reading! J

Thanks for all the replies. I cleaned the harness again and cleared the code. Now no more check engine light, and no more P0335. I do still have a pending fault for the knock sensor though. I'm kind of ignoring it for now. Should I expect to see any significant changes in performance/mpg? I don't think I'm really noticing anything yet...

ha uh, seems rather small...

Hey guys, hoping to get some quick advice. So a few weeks ago I perhaps foolishly followed the advice of a friend and hosed down my engine bay, only to have the CEL pop up with P0335 for the crankshaft position sensor. I cleaned the wiring harness connectors for the sensor that are at the top of the bay and most likely to get messed up, disconnected/reconnected the battery and this seemed to fix things up. However 5 days later the light comes back on, this time with P0325 for the knock sensor as well as P0335. I haven't noticed any change in performance/weird noises/etc. I feel like it could just be an issue with continuity, but can't be sure. Any advice before I take it to a shop? I feel like it could pricey, especially considering how difficult the crankshaft position sensor is to get at.

Thanks for the replies. I would save up for wheels, except I'm awfully close to the end of my tread on my current tires haha. Your 31's looked good to me so I think I'll keep things simpler and go with those. And yep, clutch fluid is nice and dirty so I'll get around to changing everything soon.

Hey everyone, So after creeping on the forums for awhile and slowly collecting parts, I guess it's finally time for my first post. So I bought the 2" spacer kit from Steve Fleury and am finally ready to throw them on, but thought I'd get some opinions on tire sizes. I would like to put on 32" Yokohama Geolandars, however with my stock 15x7 wheels my only option would be a 11.5" wide tire. Is this pushing it? I've read about Jeep owners doing it, but after taking a look I would be concerned about rubbing, particularly on the front struts. Would wheel spacers solve this issue? Or should I just play it safe and go with 31's? After looking at the before and after pictures that Steve has, I'd be worried that 31's might look just a bit too small and silly with a full 2 inch lift, but please tell me I'm wrong! Unfortunately larger wheels aren't in the budget right now. Oh, and fyi I'm pretty green when it comes to DIY car modifications/maintenance, if you could't tell, but gotta start somewhere!
