odd, oh well seems we have beat this horse to death, i just bought a 98 qx4 and it has plastic headlights, so im no where closer to understand what years had them and what didnt

welcome to my world, ive been looking at the qx4s and ive only found one other with glass and it was the exact same color as mine and same year

my best guess is they did some changes off and on through out the years

Like the title says show off where your antenna and radios are mounted, im looking for ideas and i figured this would be a good show off for them as well

still sucks either way

i took a few here they are, im not sure why there glass but they dont look like aftermarket and dont look like pathfinder ones

i thought so to but all the ones in the yards here and that i have seen are plastic, my buddys 98 qx4 is plastic

now ive seen alot of qx4s and have yet to find one like mine that has glass headlights, who has the glass ones vs the plastic ones

yea i cleaned it, its not that its not cool enough its that the ac disengages and im not sure its supossed to stay on for 15 seconds then kick off for five and on again for 15

heat was 107 yesterday and 105 today, so my issue ios the ac works great and very cool when driving, however if im stopped at a light or parked the ac compressor will cycle on and off when not moving, could i have to much fluid in the system for the heat index outside

i was told never run a tire bigger than 31 on stock suspension

the newer remotes have a different fcc id, hence the reason for the brain box swap

the remotes are slittly different, more sleek, i just like the idea of being able to use the flip key for the newer generation

i had an idea that im unsure would work, my 97 qx4 has the older style remote, however i was at the junk yard today and found a 97 pathy and a 02 pathy and while look at the control box under the driver seat it appeared that it used the same wire connectors as the 97, my question is can we upgrade to the newer box and will it work. i like the flip keys they make for the new keyfob

ok then that means my 97 should be the same, i thought it was odd i had the security light that apparently does nothing

cool you know if there is a way to clean the evaporator so its ready for the filters

ok so im at a loss i thought my qx4 had a transponder but when the locksmith checked it there was no signal, he made me a number 38 blank and cut it to the car and i drove around most of the day without the transponder key, am i missing something, this vehicle does not have an aftermarket alarm as far as i can tell and the dealer says i have a transponder key, can some one enlighten me on this

my ac isnt very cold and its right at 28 pounds still in the green but my gauge shows i can go to 46 before its in the red, what is a good poundage to be at
