  1. It sounds like U have a bad ground OR a loose connector in the wire harness for these lights, that is, if the lights come on and off. If the lights does not come on at all than the bulbs are blown. U have to refer to a Shop Service manual for instructions on how to remove the panels on the dash.
  2. dome lights operate on the door switch, when door opens the switch ground out to complete the circuit and the light come on. U may have a bad switch ground either the switch is broken or corroded ground contacts. Remove the switch and check. To check which door switch has a bad ground or faulty switch open and close each door and see which door is causing the problem that is which door will not make the dome light come on when open or go off when close. most likely is the driver's door I guess.

  4. Nissan engines have hydraulic lifters ,so if the t/belt breaks the lifters will not have oil pressure thus the valves will not open and that will not damage the head or pistons , Most of the time unless the RPM is way up there and it will damage the engine than, not under normal operation rpm. Please let me know if I am wrong on this quote? Have anyone had a bent valve when the T/Belt broke?
  5. Check the battery contacts arms are not loose or broken where the battery may make contact to Ur circuit board sometimes that is why it works sometimes and sometimes it does not or check the circuit board to see if there is any breaks.
  6. Yes , U can blow them out with compress air . Sometimes this is a temporary fix ,as the end of the drain hose, there is a grommet if it is harden it will clog up again. If U do not have compress air to blow then U have to remove the front tire and then the plastic cover under the wheel arch to locate the drain hose end grommet .It will be on the lower side just at the same level as the side kick panel(interior kick panel) U can remove this grommet and clean it and then pour water down the sunroof to make sure water is draining. The grommet looks like a tapered point with slots cut like fingers ,I cut the tip to open up a bigger gap so that fine sand and dirt will not plug it up again. As this tip sometimes harden up and will not open to allow the dirt through and clogs up the drain. Cutting the tip will help to ensure that dirt will flow out too. Or U can replace the grommet for $8.95 from Nissan.
  7. Maybe the cause is due to the trailing arms were tighten when the wheels were hanging down from the hoist. this will cause funny noise as the bushings are working hard in one direction and not in the other, All the bolts have to be left hand tie and to be Torque with all 4 wheels on the ground. Bounce the rear end a couple of times and then torque the bolts 103 to 116 foot pounds. This should take care of funny noise you heard as the bushings are working hard against the motion of the trailing arms. As for greasing the bushing is a NO as grease will shorten the life and destroy the bushings. Only grease the inner sleeve on the bushings where the bolts goes through. Let me know if this will solve your problem.
  8. Well, , I will be using it for towing my small boat . It will be my Fishing Pathfinder. Now I will be able to go places where my 2WD truck could not go. I am going to enjoy doing some 4 X 4. and finding new places to go fishing. I am in the process of trying to get the Pathfinder ready. I just replaced the Rear Bushing for the trailing arms upper and lower today, next will be both the rear Axle Seal as the Left side is leaking, the rear shoes as they are soaked in gear oil, then the radiator which has a crack on the top tank. and finally the right rear power window switch. Lots of work .have to replace all the fluids and oil too .Hope to finish by March.
