  1. I once had a loose contact with my dash lights, fixed them by changing the dash lights to led.... BUT the odd thing is that the radio display also went out. It's independant from the dash light.... The only thing in common they have is the dimmer. It think you should take a look at the dimmer.
  2. uhm if the radio lights are out too. it must be the dimmer.
  3. This is mu sunroof. Like i said it seems that gens 1 did open a bit more
  4. Sorry to disagree but mines opens more than that. BUT mine is a R50 gen1 while it seems all of you have R50 gen2. So maybe Nissan did change the sunroof.for the R50 gen2.
  5. I'm glad they could fix it! That speeks good about nissan, must of the car mfg's will choose to scrap it since they want you to buy a brand new car... OLD Cars = Bad for Car Mfgs.
  6. Actually the engine works just fine, no issue at all. It goes full speed. So i will try to spray some water
  7. xD. I'm the same guy. I went back there in the pic It was quite fun, since it's summer time and we are allowed to go quite up in the mountains. Today i was checking the dizzy and guess what, every time i touch that PLUG i get a shock...... that doesn't happen with the other plugs
  8. Yes i did check the dizzy parts. They seem to be ok. Btw the engine just runs fine. I will check again.
  9. Every single time i try to touch the distributor, the muthafskca, gives me an electrical discharge.
  10. Here is a vid, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EiaC2wI9HOM
  11. That's sad, but i guess that the salt+Snow is a deadly combo for the pathfinder. I hope they can fix it.
  12. Well a month ago or so, while i was going to the South of my country. For some reasson the engine did stop working all the sudden with a yellow check engine light. I was towed to a mechanic and he did show me that the distributor was loose. A bearing was busted and the bolt holding the whole distributor was busted as well so he did change both.......... Now i have this problem, clicking noise coming from the distributor. It starts ticking as soon as it starts up, and as I accelerate, it accelerates as well. The ticking is pretty consistent with the speed of the car. When it's idling or in neutral it still ticks rythmically, and when I start driving it continues to tick rhthmically, if I drive faster the ticking gets faster and so on. Is this a real issue or just an annoying issue that is not going to cause any trouble other than the annoying sound?
  13. My Pathfinder 98 SE, comes with all the goods from the LE edition minus heated seat and a non bose double din stereo.
  14. I don't like touch screen on older screen, they look just out of place that's why i put this alpine HU. Just My personal taste
  15. My pathfinder came with a MT. Yes all the other lights work just fine. Only the reverse light is not working. Where is that switch located?
  16. A few days ago, i was changing bulbs with LED, while i was doing that. I found out that my back up lights are not working. Either with the factory spec bulbs or with LEDs, also i was not able to find a fuse for that light. Any idea how to check/fix this issue?
  17. Nice, it's shame tough i don't think i can do that to my R50 Gen1 since the lense is not clear.
  18. 1)The second time, yes i did touch it by accident the (-) with the wrench. 2) I did that after i verified that the car was working OK. 3) Same as 2. Maybe is that, but i'm just worried that maybe the battery is about to die, or that the alpine is just using way more power than the battery can handle. Since the last few days it did take longer to start than usually. Also i'm a bit worried that when i was making the wiring the harness to the stereo harness. i did follow this instructions: A) Strip wire ends back 1/2" Twist ends together C) Solder D) Tape But i did skip point C), but i don't think that have nothing to do with this.
  19. Yesterday, i did install a new Stereo on my Pathfinder R50 ( 1998). The Stereo is an Alpine CDE-W235BT, i did the installation using a wiring harness that i got from Metra. First thing i do is taking out the (-) from the battery to work safe, i put the new radio, then i put the the (-) on the battery again. I try to start the car, i go to ACC ON mode it did work, but when i try to start the car, i just get a click. I check the cables everything is correct, then i check the battery i touch the (-) and i try to start the car again, and it just works fine. Why i had this issue? I tried to replicate it and i was able to do the same time twice. is my battery about to die or is something else? PD: The radio just works fine. Sorry for my rather spartan english.
