  1. Thanks ahardbody. I'm checking out a few jdm's on ebay.
  2. I found where Nefarious said the write up was on here but I couldn't find it even using the search term he suggested in another topic. I messaged him. I'll let you know as he lets me know.
  3. Oh and if anyone is interested I have almost 8,000 miles since I replaced the 1 bent valve from the timing belt braking. Still runs the exact same, lol.
  4. So after a little more then a year I have decided to bite the bullet and do the engine swap. I have an 88, 5 speed. 3.0. I can't find the write on up on the engine swap for my truck. I thought I remembered reading that I could do a 90-95 3.3 swap fairly easy? If anyone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. I found jdm 3.3 for 700 bucks. Will I need the ecu? I really wanted to do the diesel swap but I'm afraid it will end up being a long pain in the ass project.
  5. Who is the member on here that was selling oem parts?
  6. So I put a new cv axle in my 88 pathfinder today. I noticed the shocks and ball joints are over due. I know this truck has some type of adjustable suspension. Where would I buy comparable shocks? I checked online and the parts store but they just sell gas shocks. Is it possible to keep this system? I usually wouldn't care but I know when i'm in soft sand if I flip the switch to sports, it really helps with wheel hop. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.
  7. I could maybe see a TPS in Short cuasing this. Your on the right track. The computer is reporting the failure, not the problem. I would check all inputs. Maf to o2 sensor.
  8. Your a techie Nerd. and yes, I said that becuase I'm jealous. Nice
  9. I had a cheap filter on it in case i has problems after doing the heads. It was parts master or something. I replaced with a an stp. Now it builds fluid within a second or two in the morning and instant the rest of the day Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk
  10. ughh, GL-4 fluid must be made of gold material.

  11. I was having a problem with the truck a 4 or 5 seconds to build oil pressure in the morning. Put a new oil filter and it's good to go. Now to start the research on a body lift so I can pull the engine and reseal it.
  12. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/36075-pictures-of-the-timing-marks-88-vg30i/ Here is a picture of the cam marks I used. If I remember right I thought the distributor was off, but it ended up being that the electrode inside the cap does not line exactly up with where the spark plug wire attached. It was something along those lines.
  13. I would like to have a 4 door. I would really like to have your truck but right now it's not in the budget. I don't think my problem was even the mechanical fan. I was short on water. I just went ahead and put the electrical fan for those times I dip into some water. I plan on putting it to a relay that I can kill so I don't wear out this fan under water. We are almost done with my friends z71 and then I plan on doing a little more to the truck.
  14. Flush the cooling system and changed over to an electric fan. It now takes forever for the truck to reach half temperature and never goes over.
