Once the A/C starts blowing cold air, it's just as you said, the piece of pipe is freezing and there is condensation on it. The A/C is functioning normally, the only issue is that it takes forever to start freezing unless I turn it off and then back on as I described in my first post. Thanks guys for your replies.

Thanks for the reply, but I read in the service bulletin that other parts needs replacing also on the inside of the cabin. It's not urgent as my readings are off by a couple degrees max which isn't a problem really. I just wanted to know if someone has worked on this issue Thanks again!

Thanks for the reply Silverpathy, can you post a pic and tell me if I can do the same as you did? Can you tell me exactly what you used? I don't want to replace the hose as I will have to refill with freon, and this costs a lot here! Thanks a lot.

Hi All, On my 98SE I noticed that the front windows are somewhat loose and can jiggle if I move them with my hand when half open. I removed the door panel and had a look: I didn't know what to do about it, cos the white plastic part that supports the window is not tight around the vertical bar... anyone has any ideas? Hi All, I noticed on my 98SE that the outside temperature reading is sometimes inaccurate. I also read on the web that Nissan released a service bulletin about this issue, they require to buy some new parts and change them next to the sunroof controls... The problem is that here these parts are not available and I cannot order them from abroad... Is there anything I can do in order to have a more accurate reading? Anyone have a fix for it? I'd really appreciate it. Thankyou so much.

When I use the key to unlock and/or lock the Pathy, the lock on the door itself works and the other doors are not affected. Only the door in which I insert the key locks and unlocks. Is this normal? The unlock/lock switch works fine and the remote key also. It's a 98 SE fully loaded ( A/T, A/C, leather, Cruise control, moonroof...)

Hi guys, I have a slight problem with my A/C: When I turn my A/C on it blows cold (not freezing) air, but if I wait for a couple of minutes like this then turn off the A/C button, wait about 20 seconds and then push the button back on, the air starts to freeze up the way it should be.... And it remains fine for the rest of the trip. I checked the freon level, it wasa bit low so I got it topped off. No change. I can hear the A/C compresson turning on when I press the A/C button. The odd thing is that I have noticed a little bit of oil-like liquid on the ends of the A/C hose under the hood. It's a very small quantity, but when I touch the ends where the hose nut is, it feels a bit oily. The dealer told me not to worry about it. Hi all, The light on the recycle button is not lighting up when pressed on my 98 Pathy, I know it's suppose to light because the AC button does. I removed the center console and tried to check if the light can be replaced but I'm afraid I couldn't remove the button to check the bulb. Can it be replaced? Does anyone knows anything about it? Is this a common fault? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Hi guys, I have replaced the Bose radio on my 98Pathy and put in a Sony unit. All is well except that I miss the digital clock which used to be displayed all the time on the Bose radio... My Sony doesn't have the option to display the clock all the time... Do you have any sugestions? I don't want to replace the radio and I'd like to have a digital LED clock that lights green or light blue not the cheapo lcd ones... Any help or advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi guys, I know that this happens when you put a lot of stress on your transmission with lots of wheel spining and rough driving. The gear locks in 3rd and the O/D Off button blinks for 8 seconds. This happened to me the other day, but the weird thing is that I was driving VERY slowly, here's what hapenned: The truck was parked for a couple of days, I started it but did not look at the dash, once it was warm I exited the parking and I imediately noticed that the acceleration was slower than usual (Acceleating in 3rd).... I drove for a couple of minutes then stopped, I turned off the engine and restarted it, I then noticed the O/D OFF button blinking on the dash for a little while, once it turned off I turned off the engine and waited for a couple of minutes.... Then I started the engine and everything was normal again. I drove for a while and then stopped and restarted for 3 times and waited but everything was normal again. No O/D light and normal acceleration. Do you know why this happened? The truck was parked and driven very slowly. Truck is 98 Pathy Automatic well serviced. Transmission oil is new. I read somewhere that if your battery is low and you have a slow crank when starting, your transmission can go into a "fail safe" mode and will not start out in 1st gear. I think I noticed a VERY LITTLE hesitation in the crank when I first started the ignition but it was barely noticeable.... Also it's worth to mention that I don't drive the truck very often, like twice a week and for short trips...Also the battery hasn't been changed since a couple of years, maybe more.... Any ideas? I hope it was a one time thing cos it hadn't happened again.

Thanks for the reply, I'm sorry but I'm kinda new to this: I don't have any accessories for OBD. What I want is to be able to read the codes and reset them if possible. What exactly do I need to do that? I cannot afford to get a scangauge at the moment, so what's the best cheapest way to do this? What parts and software do I need in order to connect to my laptop or PDA? Thankyou for your help.

Hi All, the two front windows on my 98SE seem loose, in other words they wiggle a bit. SO I'm thinking of removing the door panel in order to tighten them up. Can this be done easily? Furthermore, can anyone provide me with a step by step guide or maybe even some photos on how to do that? Thanks a lot guys.
