Just did now. 36 on all 3 "winstons" and that goodyr lol hhas 25lbs and i see a nail in it that hasn't been there that long.
-
Did the chalk test and both rear tires had a inch on both side of the tires. Need to get new tires soon cause they are old has tons of tread just cracks in the treads. The good year tire has uneven tread in the middle. One part of that tires has hair line cracks in this while section on the tire.
-
Could be the tire feathered too. Some spots look worn more than others in the middle. I need shocks the ones i bought are crappy. Can some one explain the chalk test?

All three of my tires are Winston winner LTs and the one that's wearing out is a good year Wrangler radial. I was told when i bought that good year Wrangler used that it was a spare tire. But it doesn't say that's a temporary use tire only. The Winston winner tires are loading range c 50 psi max and the good yr is its listing range b max psi is 35lbs. I'm going to check the air pressure in it tomorrow.

How much air are we suppose to put in the tires? I got the 31s. I put like 35 to 40.

Tire wears out in the middle. I did notice when I'm going up hill on a sharp left turn you can hear that tire grabbing.
-
I have a 95 pathfinder and been noticing my left rear tire wears out faster than the front. The tires on it before did the same thing. I don't peel out.maybe cause because the limited slip? How would you rotate them? Maybe criss cross them every other time? Thanks

I wait for the idle to go down. My gauge is only 1/4 when i go up hills its almost half way up it was going too almost 3/4 just going up hills. 1/4 is where it stays at on flat driving.
-
When I'm doing 65 it is just under 2500 rpm. More like 2200.
-
About to hit 235k
-
I did notice that when the live drive is not engaged its around 2500 bit that one night was at 3500 want slipping felt like a lower gear.
-
I think its been like that since i bought it.
-
My reverse is a little slow. But not bad.
-
I will check the fluid levels today. I have the Lucas transmission oil in there.thanks for the replies
-
Hadn't done it in the past couple days. I'm assuming when its cold going on the highway the overdrive doesn't kick in till its fully warm.
-
It has less then 20k on the fluid
-
Btw i did a fluid change sometime last year.

I have a 95 Nissan pathfinder and i was driving home last night on the hwy and noticed my rpm went to 3500 rpms. Felt like it went out of over drive. I press the over drive no change wHen i turned it off. I probably did a bad thing i put in to neutral and shut it off and it went back to normal. No high rpms. Drive it this morning for my paper route drive fine. I did post awhile ago about when i get of the freeway and stop at a stop sign it hesitates to move but once you shut it off start it back up shifts fine. I'm hoping i don't need a rebuilt anytime soon being my other car in the shop. I have 234k miles on the path. Thanks for reading my post.

Was getting better than that before. I'm just assuming it needs a tune up. I don't know when the previous owner had it done. I know it was dealer serviced.

I have a 95 pathfinder and i filled it up and at 19 miles the gauge went down an 1/8. Around 180 miles it's between 1/4 and 1/2. I never changed the plugs and wires only thing i did was a fuel filter. I did notice my gauge is below normal temp leaning towards on the cold side. It does heat up going up hills like 3/4 but hasn't done that lately. I did replace the thermostat. Any ideas? Thanks

i put lucas gear oil with the additive. i dont know on the miles im guessing around 180k miles it has 231k now.

Yeah new tires make a world of difference I just ended up buying a set of BF Goodrich A/T tires after going through what it sounds like you are for a minute. $600 though for the set of 4 mounted and balanced. its a pretty penny but once you get some new tires you will be much more comfortable.
ya i was gonna buy some hercules all trac A/T for 380 mounted and balance but money was tight.

I'd like to see at least matched on an axle but have been in a bind and done it waiting for something to come in with tires I needed. That wrangler you have in the pic link though you probably won't have to worry about that one long (I never see them get any miles)
ya looked brand new but i see its wearing. debating if i want to have it thrown in the back. when my brother inlaw bought off of me awhile back and ebven the tires were wearfing out in the back too must be that lsd.

buying cheap / potentially damaged tires is the problem with balancing not the rims. you get what you pay for.
i dont mind buying used tires i know the risk of buying used tires. its either the weights fall off or something else like the tire.
anyone ever had the left rear tire wear out?
in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders

Yes all 3 matched. But the one that matched still wore in the middle. The Max psi on the three matched ones are 50 psi and the good year is 35 psi max
