I just put in less than a 1/2 gallon of coolant
-
I'll have to look into the bleeding. I don't think we did that we just let it run with the cap off.

Thanks for the reply. On our way to wa state. Started heating up going up hills the heater helps. I'm hoping it's the radiator and not the water pump. I haven't heard of a secondary thermostat but will look into it. I'm new to these. Haven't noticed any collapsed hose. I opened the radiator when it was hot and the coolant went into the coolant bottle and when I start it up it went back in the radiator.

I don't know if this makes a difference to the temp will rise after 75 mph.

00 pathfinder temp gauge goes up almost to 3/4 when turning on the a/c and going up hill with the a/c off. Any idea? Maybe the radiator. I did a flush and thermostat change. Thanks
-
I'll put it down to 30 and see how it goes
-
It's a stiffer tire then the Yokohama geo landers at that were on there before
-
Ok thanks I'll try that
-
Ok so i looked up the tire and it says loading range is sl meaning standard load.
-
I don't think it even says what loading range it is.

Hello I have a 00 pathfinder se and I bought some used bridgestone dueler HL alenza 235 70 16 was wondering what would be the right tire pressure? Right now I have 38 psi. The door says 26 psi but that's with the original stock size 255 65 16. Thanks

The shop I'm taking it too is gonna flush out out with radiator coolant. Before I take it in can I poor that radiator flush in there and let it idle for a little bit. I wont drive on it just get it to the shop a little early and let it idle before the flush it.
-
We are thanks
-
Thanks I think we are gonna buy the 255 65 16 for 450 mounted and balanced it's by Westlake and they are beefy tires
-
Had them so a pressure test and holding good. They tested the coolant for gas and exhaust nothing found and all good ready to go got our trip. Said it could of been really low on coolant.
-
I have a set of new used 265 75 16 don't know if it will be to big
-
I was reading to that you can put a 265 70 or 75 16. Is this true?
-
No coolant coming out of the radiator cap pretty much just stays there. I should smell it and see. Thanks
-
If I have it pressure tested they should be able to find it? Meaning any leaks?
-
Does it have a 3.3L or a 3.5L? On the 3.3 the intake gaskets will leak on the passenger rear and is really difficult to see. Seems like with that much coolant loss you should see something. Milky sludge under the oil cap? Milky oil or trans fluid? Runs rough for a few seconds when cold started? Do you smell coolant when driving or after you get out of your car?

The 3.3 nope it runs smooth. I'll check the oil cap but the oil looks good. Thanks

Check the hose that goes from just below the radiator cap to the overflow tank. Make sure it is connected and free flowing. A while back I suddenly had a temperature spike while driving, noticed low coolant in the rad, but not in the res. Turned out that hose had gotten clogged and when the radiator cap let the pressure out, it blew the hose off the barb on the res. Then every time the engine would go through a drive cycle, it would just spit the coolant onto the road. then suck in air when cooling down. It was a sneaky leak because it would never leave a drop in the driveway, or parking lot, it would only leak while on the road.
Thanks I'll check it out

Last Sunday when I added almost half a gallon. Yesterday I added not nearly as much. I'm gonna have it pressure tested next week. Thanks

Suppose to go out of state with it on the 2nd of next month wanna make sure we fix the leak before we leave and make sure we have no blown head gasket. Thanks for the reply I will look in that area.
