  1. I also did the VG33 Swap. Every connector goes in the same spot. I helped a guy here in Colorado do the swap too. He forgot to plug in the knock sensor that is under the intake manifold. But yes like Precise said Please post pics or atleast give us the colors of the wires at the plugs with no homes .

    Just your good buddy from Colorado. Wondering if anyone wants to join me and my Fiance(soon to be wife) , on part of our honeymoon out trail riding in MOAB, Utah? She has alot of family in Moab and she knows the area pretty good! I am nearing the end of my VG33E conversion right now.

     

    I just want to see if anyone wants to make a Pathy group forum TRIP!! I think it sounds Awesome. A couple or a bunch of 'US' NPORA Junkies mobbing Moab together. Proving that not Only Jeeps can wheel. Yuck i can't believe i said the NaStY "J" word. That word makes to sick to my stomach. LOL! Message me !

  3. I have to take off the intake manifold to get enough space to access 1 of the bolts mounting the distributor on my VG30E. On the VG33E the two bolts are easy to get to. So i will have to take off both intake manifolds to put in my VG30E distributor. I might as well Clean the intake manifold while it is off! I have to go walk to the parts place to get manifold gasket set for the VG33E so i will go and get a can of brake cleaner or carb cleaner to clean the manifold while it is off of the engine!

  4. Hey everyone. I am just wondering if I am the ONLY Pathy here in Western Colorado. I am in Grand Junction.I own a 92 pathfinder. I am nearing the end of my VG33E Conversion. This is a Fun conversion for our pathys. I love mine. How about you? Were are you located at, if in CO? I want to get a convoy of Pathys to go out trail riding, Mudding, rock crawling, Anything!!!

  5. I am nearing the end of Installing a VG33E into my 92 Pathfinder. I have both Distributors(VG30E and VG33E). I see and know they are different connectors and coil is in dist on VG33E and the cam sensor NOT Crank sensor like in VG30E.

    Basically It appears by all of the wiring diagrams that , IF the VG30E distributor will slide in to replace the VG33E distributor . It would be alot easier then having to re-wire connections and chase wires. I am a Good mechanic but I HATE electrical. I can do it , But

    it is a pain.

  6. the Engine is out(VG30E) now i am swapping over brackets and accessories. I am going to be putting the VG30E fuel rails and injectors in the VG33E also i am using the VG30E upper plenum and MAF! From what my research and my brother in-law have came up with is in doing this, I will NOT have to adjust timing. Also i will NOT be running rich.. Between Job,Kids,and my other half, it is hard to get enough time to do all this in one shot!! :(

  7. how Fu#%ing tight are the torque converter bolts? I broke a 14mm 3/8 drive socket trying to break them free .. I can't even break one of them loose. I got the tranny to move about 3/4 inch back with out removing rear drive line. And removed the lower shield and now i am fumbling around with the other plate between the engine and tranny to were we can get a socket on the bolts from drivers side. and Snapped a socket . I am now looking for a 14mm 1/2 inch drive socket for my impact wrench . HELP !!!
