Show the lady that saw it get towed away pictures of pickup trucks from that era, if she can identify the model then you can at least talk to people in the neighborhood and see if they know someone with a similar vehicle. Good luck with the search.

You could always run an aftermarket fuel gauge that matches your factory ohm range, but it would be neater to have the dash gauge work properly.
-
If you know the ohm range for the fuel guage then all you need to do is get a universal fuel sender to match that range. The fuel sender is usually adjustable in length to suit different sized fuel tanks so you can get a proper reading and so the pickup can reach the bottom of the tank.

When you thought you could hear your kids whining in the back seat but really it was just your gearbox.

When the fan in your vent sounds like a P51 Mustang airplane at takeoff!

Cool, glad you found one. I insist on 5 matching rims myself...
B
I can't stand when people only sell 4 or are only willing to buy 4 matching pairs of a rim, it just doesn't make sense .

Nope. There are some Landcruisers, but I don't think I've ever seen one like that here. Looks like a good vehicle but I think I would favor a 4 door Defender. Way out of my practical price range though...
Too funny, Jeepers here are a cult and most are self important douches, kind of like the Hardly Ableson crowd.
I had no idea the import taxes were that insane, it more effectively doubles the price of the vehicle (with exchange rate I assume).
Still, you have quite a few cool vehicles We'll never see here in the states as well. I guess it is just the case of wanting what you don't have available.
I'm pretty happy with my Pathy though.
B
Yeah it's something like $40k in importing taxes not including freight itself i think, then there's the rhd conversion and insurance would be through the roof as its imported.I guess you could say the grass is greener on the other side, but yeah I would have agree that i'm happy with my wd21 also.
-
I actually saw one of those at the wreckers a while ago and im pretty sure it got crushed .
Find one with a high roof and you've got a triffic expedition vehicle..
Do you get many 60 series Landcruisers in USA?
-
Plenty of patrols, landcruisers and hilux's down here. Jeeps are sold in dealerships here so they are kinda common but most 4wders hate them. The pickup trucks that you have (and I mean the dedicated haulers not frontiers or tacomas) like ford f series dodge rams etc. those are the ones that are sought after. We have crazy vehicle import taxes here for vehicles built after a certain year (89 i think?) so it gets pretty pricey e.g a 2013 f350 is $130k+ or a 2013 mustang gt500 is $275k. But yes I would like a pickup truck that was made for hauling, jap or american.
Agreed, they are rare birds here.
Leo, how common are Jeeps or lifted pickup trucks down there? Would you want one?
B
-
They look much better in swb but I still prefer a wd21. These are about as common as you guys have jeeps or lifted pickup trucks.
Ugly? You sir need to look at it how to could be...
-
Do you like pre-runner style trucks?

Fixed it for you

Going by your profile i'm going to assume you have a v6? if so you don't have a carburetor you have the throttle body injection motor. Start by checking your codes and go on from there.
-
Do the exact opposite of this .

And this justifies it?
I'm sure more than a few of us have taken photos whilst driving.
Well actually there is, they generally weigh more, offroad tires have less grip on the road, front bars are usually more fatal, lifting usually means the person getting hit goes under the vehicle etc. The list just keeps on going on, natural selection does work itself out but unfortunately there is collateral damage and usually the person behind the wheel survives an accident whilst a pedestrian an the road mightn't.
There's no especially about 4wd's. Driving is a serious matter no matter what it is. All these idiots with drivers licenses just handed to them driving 4,000 pound death machines. Natural selection is working itself out, albeit slowly.
-
Lol. If you're worried about taking photos while driving....
Driving is a serious matter and shouldn't be taken lightly, ESPECIALLY when you are driving a 4wd, or a modified one at that.
-
I thought the rear axle wasn't centered.
That would just be the angle of the shot, which looks like it was taken from the drivers side, looks like cnam took the photo whilst he was driving .

Pretty much when you adjust the rod adjust it till there's no play, then back it off half a turn. When it comes to bleeding the clutch I didn't have to bleed the dampener because terranos don't have them, so what I did (with a helper to pump the pedal) was:
- Top off the reservoir
- Pump the clutch 4 times and hold on the 4th
- Crack open the Master cylinder bleeder valve with a CLEAR tube on it leading into a clear container, make sure it makes a tight seal around the bleeder valve
- Close the valve and release the pedal after and ONLY after you have closed the valve and repeat till there is no more air coming through the line.
If you are still getting air through the bleeder your master cylinder, hydraulic lines or bleeder valve might be defected (I would recommend rebuilding or buying a oem nissan master/slave)
I would recommend you just bypass the dampener and then just follow the same above steps but for the slave cylinder afterwards, otherwise as stated above bleed the dampener after the slave cylinder

Maybe you could get a rebuild kit from Rob the parts guy on here? If not you can get it here, and this forum post shows how to rebuild it.

Get a weber 32/36 carb, it's a pretty common mod for the z24, there several writeups on the internet and you can get adapter plates and whatnot on ebay.
-
Tungsten, all of your pics won't show up for me. I've tried multiple computers. Any chance you still have them to either pm or email?
Unfortunately it's like that with most of his posts because he Facebook to upload the photos, I don't think he goes on this forum much any more so you could try sending him a pm if you haven't already and that should send him an email.
