I just put a set of Definity Dakota on my R50 and have put about 1000 miles on them. They ride super nice on the highway, no road noise what-so-ever. I jumped on the buy three get one free deal at pep-boys so i saved about 140 too. I was in the same boat as you but fortunately I got a bonus from work so i was able to pay for my tires myself. A little extra meat on your tires never hurt anybody.....
