  1. Im still hoping I'll be able to salvage the bracket on the rear of the muffler. I haven't had time to get back under and check it out. I think with WD-40 and a wrench I;ll be able to get everything on and functional, if not, well I'll just go from there haha
  2. Went ahead and ordered the part online, 80 bucks for a direct fit replacement. Should take about a week to get here. I figured eighty bucks shipped to my door is worth it and ill just install it myelf. Its two bolts and two rubber hangers.
  3. In regards to that other muffler piece, It's still on my truck, just the piece pictured is what came loose. It was held on by those two rubbery looking connector type deals...
  4. Yea i noticed the other "muffler" looking unit further up. So if I just had a pipe welded on to that and run that to the back I should be ok? That was what i was thinking of doing because it seemed to be the less expensive root. Plus I feel like an aftermarket system would run me quite a bit of cash. Thanks for all your input! -Chase
  5. So My muffler broke off my truck today and I need some opinions on what to do. What's the cheapest option? Do i need a muffler at all or can i run a straight pipe from the cat? I went to a muffler shop and they quoted the part at 350....yea right. Online i found an aftermarket, OEM replacement for 60 i believe. Any suggestions would be awesome!!! And Im currently driving around with out the muffler on is this bad for back pressure on the engine?
  6. You sir, are a genius. I didnt even think about what would happen when i rotated the tires. And eventually, yes steelies will come into play but that could be another year. I still owe a small amount on the truck and being my only income is in the summer......well i cant mod everything at one time. After my lift the next thing will be new wheels and then eventually bigger tires. Good things come to those who wait (because there broke)
  7. Yea, i have the knob on the dash. My main reason for purchasing these is my six hour drive home at 70 mph on which i get 18 mpg......bad pathy but i just wanted to get a little extra mpg's for that reason. I guess if i just be knowledgable about the whole thing I'll be alright.
  8. What i was reading i thought was referring to the part that the transfer case is lubricated by a pump that is turned on by the wheels spinning but since you unlock the hub, the transfer case is no longer being lubricated.
  9. So I just read in the member's ride section that installing the manual locking hubs on an LE with the 4wd selector on the dash (the knob) is ok but running with them unlocked is bad for the transfer case. Something along the lines of it not being lubricated and what not. Can someone elaborate on this or is there a post somewhere that elaborates on this? I Haven't quite gotten used to the search function yet. -Chase
  10. Thanks alot, that's exactly what i wanted to hear! hmmm decisions decisions
  11. I was considering this option, I just don't want to take away the rigidity of the wheels especially if I start taking it off road. This is an option that I might look into I just need to call and get a quote on how much that would be. Any ideas?
  12. So i just converted the 245 mm to inches and it comes out to be 9.6457 inches. So what would be a safe rim width to run with the tires? I looked all over the interent to find the width of the stock le rims but I couldnt find it anywhere. -Chase
  13. So my stock LE wheels apparently do not fit warn hubs. I wanted to put the hubs on my Pathy before installing a lift so I seem to have run into a little problem. I want to look into a a set of 17 inch rims for my pathy so I dont have to buy new tires as well since my tires only have about 1200 miles on them. Does anyone know how to tell if rims will fit the warn hubs? Preferably aftermarket rims. I would think that any "truck" style rim would fit the hubs but I'd rather be safe then sorry. How do i find measurements of certain rims that would tell me if the hubs would fit or not? Any info is greatly appreciated. Also the tires i bought are 245/65/17 and rims that I've been looking at are 17x8.5. Is there a conversion method that would tell me if the width's are the same or close to the same? Sorry if these questions are "noob" questions but i figured smart guys and gals like yourselves could answer them rather quickly. Again i greatly appreciate any info you can provide. This is just one more step until i get my lift
  14. You have a different set of rims. Ours are six spoke but not the tri star pattern and they are 17's not 16's.
  15. Thanks for the pictures, your truck is bada$$, no joke. Yea I know warn no doubt probably has a better quality product, but I think for my usage I wont need to spend the extra cash for them. I can't make any purchases untill I'm back home anyway I have no tools at school with me. I can't even change my own oil.
  16. Yea i was planning on Mile Markers, at least for now. I plain on hitting some trails out here at school but nothing to harsh. This truck still drives me to class everyday and has to make a 6 hour trip home every so often After school is when the real mods will come.
  17. Once again, thanks for the help. You guys make me want to start ordering parts!
  18. Instead of starting a new topic for my next question I figured I'd post it in here since the answer should be simple. I'm looking into buying the warn manual hubs and I've all the topics I could find on them but I still have a question. 1) Will the warn hubs fit the LE model R50 wheels? I don't mind if i have to dremel the opening a little but will it work at all? Any pictures of this already done would be great.
  19. Heres a noob tire question, 245 is the height of the sidewall, so does that mean a 245/65/17 is taller that a 245/65/16 since that latter has a smaller rim size? Or is 245 the height of the entire tire all together?
  20. I think If i went with the EMU lift my 245's wouldnt look too terrible. Worse comes to worse i could just sell my stock wheels and the tires and try and find some used ones for cheap...decisions decisions
  21. Thats awesome, good luck with the build! Could you post some pictures before and after? That would help me out x1000000. Are you running stock tires still?
  22. That's awesome, I'll try that next time I get around some jacks. Thats the bad thing about being a student; off campus apartment complex. What about the OME lift. It's not as tall of a lift but is it a noticeable .5"? I'm adding the rola roof rack soon with the extension and possibly some lights, just food for thought........
  23. So I didnt think i would need a lift a couple of months ago so i went ahead and bought new tires but the stock size, 245/65/17 (LE model). The tires are Definity Dakota AT2 and have a good tread pattern on them. My friend took up in the mountains near here and now I'm really considering a lift kit in the near future but I can't shovel out extra money for new tires again. So my question is whether or not my truck will look....unproportional....if I don't get bigger tires with my lift kit. I did some looking and it looks like my tires in metric have a 29.5 diameter. Pictures would be awesome if your running a lift with the stock tires. I was considering lifting and adding the warn hubs and possibly wheel spacers at the time of the lift as well. Thanks for your advice, -Chase
