  1. I was got one o deez last nite - what do U call this? He said he removed it from an 85 - 89 Pathfinder - he didn't know much more about it. He had it sand blasted and primered and then sold his ride. Shud I install this on my 98? I know sumbudy who does powder coating so it wudn't cost much $ to get it dun. Are all the parts on it? Will I need to make / buy parts? What are the pros and cons? Thanx http://s1136.photobucket.com/user/briandrum1/media/PATHYBUSHGAURD1.jpg.html?filters[user]=121241083&filters[recent]=1&sort=1&o=0 http://s1136.photobucket.com/user/briandrum1/media/PATHYBUSHGAURD2.jpg.html?filters[user]=121241083&filters[recent]=1&sort=1&o=1
  2. CUDN't be bothered changing it back to small case - I have some stuff I'm gonna post - no time right now - Check out my rocker panel post from yesterday. Cheers Kyle.
  3. I just finished cutting out the rocker panel from the driver side and have started fitting the new rocker in - Got it from Car Quest - $55.00 - aaaaand so it turns out that Houghten Rust Proofing ( where I had it sprayed 3 years ago) drilled holes into the rockers & installed plastic plugs but didn't spray inside! Those F# ^ **@*!!!s! It was as dry as a bone. I'm gonna it spray it myself this weekend. Passenger side has a bit of rust so they musta done it. I removed the one running board and ....Gonna leave those running boards off. I like it. Gotta get this rocker dun. later.

I read your email and sent a PM detailing the different methods to post images from Photobucket. But for the benefit of anyone else reading this, you only use the Image Button/Box with Photobuckets "DIRECT" option and with bare image urls. Do not paste Photobuckets "IMG", or "IMG thumb" strings into the Image box opened by the button.

  5. Got the rusted frame welded on the passenger side last week - gonna start welding up the frame on the driver side today - bumped my foreheeeed on the tow hook yesterday - HOLE COW! for a small cut I was bleeding out like slowly pouring out a water bottle - no pain - but WOW! Freaked out the wife when I asked for a band aid - hopefully I won't be banging my heed again today.

I spent about 3 hours - 3 separate times( 1 Hr each) ...to post my progress and pix - failed again. I lukd up the how to and still can't post pix - I keep getting "You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community." WTF?

  6. It lux like my rack and pinion steering is now leaking on my 98 Pathy - did U get a re manufactured one? If so - where'd U get it? How much $?
  7. YA THEY FIXED THE RECALL STUFF A FEW YEARS AGO - THANX FOR THE ADVICE ON THE BENDING - HEAT! A GOOD IDEA.! GOT THE TUBING BENDERS HERE - GOING FOR SUPPLIES TOMORROW - HOPEFULLY GONNA BE WELDING SATURDAY. GONNA GET 3/16" - 1/4" THICK FLAT BAR 4" WIDE - CHOP IT INTO USEABLE PCS AND GET PATCHING. ANYBODY REPLACE THAT A ARM BUSHING? IT LUX ROUGH. CHEERS!
  8. I saw some fluid on my driveway recently - different vehicles are in & outta here a lot so I kept looking for the source until I found it under my 98 Pathy. I thot the leak was on the passenger side front wheel area under a steel shield - I removed it and it wasn't there - then removed a plastic shield above that and finally found it. I also found a HUGE rust prolm too. So I got my MIG with argon ready to go - I gotta get some 4" flat bar - wud someone pls let me know the type of metal and thickness I shud use. I gotta remove the 3 hard gas lines and 2 hard brake lines to fix it properly - anyone ever do this B4? I know the lines are under a bunch of heat shields so it'll be a pain in the A**. Any tips or suggestions will be really appreciated. It runs GREAT! Had the timing belt and water pump dun 2 years ago. Everything werx perfectly except the A/C and rear wiper so I don't want it towed to the wreckers. I cudn't got thru last winter without it. It plowed thru 4 - 5' drifts no problem...which is comforting in the middle of no where at 3 am. 1st pic is passenger side - 2nd pic - driver side ( it's also rusted thru the floor pan under foot) FIRE! while welding (I wud assume) Any suggestions about making new brake lines wud also be gud ( they don't make 'em anymore) - I got the flaring tool kit here but haven't dun brake lines in years. I'm worried about starting it on fire while heating the brake lines to get'em loose too. Suggestions? HELP! Shud I heat the under coating and scrape it off? It's on there good and it's HARD!
