  1. Yes, that. They just pop out from behind and are sturdy enough to hold something without moving around.

I was leaning toward hood placement and not fender placement. That works but it's not a really good spot for a light because it's going to reflect off the hood rather than off the road.

yes i hear you on the vents on the front of the hood but i do have a bull guard so i can just place them there, but i already have two lights on there but i will look into the hood placement your talking about

heres how my truck looks like now

as you can tell i can place them on the top bar of the bull guard but that will be in the way of my view? but the hood vents seem father away so ill look into that

  2. Here is the pic, I couldn't fit the whole thing in my scanner so I made sure to get the lights and the girl !! Figured the rear could be cut off, LOL

this sir is pretty &^%*ing awesome!!!! wow! never would of thought of this! lol i like the idea!

    keep the pics coming! haha

  3. I would secure the lights to the hood inserts. You can modify them and if you ever want to go back you can just get new inserts.

Which hood inserts are you talking about? The three in the front where the air flows in? Or the two near the wind shield wipers? How would you go to taking them apart?

  4. Offroad racers use to mount lights here. If you notice on many of them they had some sort of glare shield in place too.

I for one wouldn't many any lights there for a few reasons.

    #1 possible glare

#2 you create blind spot during the day and really bad at night due to the intense amount of light shining out of them. Nothing like having the bright lights spots in your eyes while trying to drive at night.

#3 You're going to create a really wicked shadow at the front of your truck unless you have some lights shining down there to correct the problem.

    #4 I don't think it looks good.

However it's your ride and I'm sure I've done stuff to mine that others think looks like @!*%. Just giving you my opinion just in case you cared to know what other's thought of the idea.

Thanks for the opinion but the only reason I will use these light will be when I go offroading so most of the problems you said wont apply to me as I'm not driving on the street with them on. Also the mounts from the raptor looks like it can be fit in between the fender and hood, a good drilling to the holes would be all that is needed.

Also that photo of the calendar would be great if you can find it.

Another thing, I don't have a welder so I wouldn't kno how to built a brakets from the bottom up, I was hoping I can go to like a homedepot or lowes and buy a bracket there and mod it alil to fit on the hood somewhere. Thanks for the help guys! I'm getting a lot of ideas now

  5.

You can definitely do rally style lights on the hood. Getting them to fit nicely is a different story because there are no aftermarket adapters made for this.

the reason for this thread! lol but like i said before doesnt jeeps have a like adapter that u place on the windshield?

but we will have to drill in our pathys

    also saw these

i think the way crazyhayseed did it was awesome but i read his thread and still have no idea how he did it. i left a comment on his thread but seeing it over 2 years old, im not sure if he will response haha

  6. hey guys i was just wondering if anyone has placed lights on their hood like how the jeeps have? i was thinking about buying the mounts from the jeeps and maybe seeing if it would work on the pathy, but i think i should ask here before i go spenting money. Also if you have photo that would be great. THANKS!

  7. Nice186- 31x10.50s on stock rims orta fit fine. The bighorns i have now are my second set of mts on a stock pathy. First was some nexens. Both didnt scrub. Only reason they scrub now is cause my new wheels offset is different. But if your front has sagged bad you might need to crank your t-bars. Which are torsion bars. http://www.nissanpat...ars#entry513421. That thread shows you how to adjust them. You can also reindex them if you dont have enough. Theres a thread on how to do that in the garage section

hardbody- Im not quite sure. I got 3.25-3.5" when i measured em.

thanks for the info but i have aftermarket cragar D window rims with a i think 4" backspacing if im correct. it rubbed on the front fenders so i trimmed the front but now the back of the front fenders are touching and that's part of the frame so i cant trim that unless i lift my truck(stock height) so maybe reindex the t-bars might fix this. thanks for the link!

  8. Yup, it can. With vents like the boat ones, when moving it will pass over them but with the scoop styles, you can get some moisture. The 2 I show that ain't mine are for feeding intercoolers on TD trucks IIRC, mine was more for the "it's mine, I like it" factor and has the added bonus of jamming some cooler air in between the fenders. After a long drive in the rain it's no wetter than it would be with a sealed hood as it's just te stuff from the road getting kicked up under there, anything from te scoop evaporates of the top of the motor, short ride or after washing only sees a couple drops on the top of the air cleaner lid (remember, I have TBI so I got that big round plate for a little to lay on until it warms up) And I keep my distributer sealed so I don't really worry about that.

Thanks for the info, now i know and i will look into them more now. thanks alot man!

  9. click on pics for bigger pic, the bottom one probably has the closest view.

The mounting screws are hex head sheet metal screws and the hardware kit comes with black plastic caps to go over the screw heads. We installed them the same way a little silicone in the hole before the screw goes in.

    This is the kit:

Thanks for the photos but I'm not digging the red, I think black will go good with my truck, and thanks for the kit, that will come in handy

  10. I had one on my old hardbody. They are designed to be installed with sheet metal screws and than plastic covers over the screw heads, at the Truck Shop in west Sayville we used to install a lot of them. I had a problem on mine with a few of the screws stripping out so I installed riv nuts and used 1/4 -20 allen head bolts. Only problem I noticed on mine was when I also installed a hood visor than it seemed the roof visor would vibrate.

Most important part is having someone eye it up from the front as 2 people hold it on each side.

They look good when they are painted to match. I have pics of one on my red hardbody but none that show it up close.

Thanks for the info and yes if you have a few photos of red on red I would Love to see it. I was thinking about reprinting it black as my rims are black and I was thinking about two toning my truck(bottom black and top red) but hey you might change my mind lol

  11. Hey guys, alright so i got a great deal on CLs for a moonvisor off a nissan pick up and i was thinking about putting it on my 94 pathfinder... now my question is how do i got about this? it looks like it all lines up with my truck but do i really need to drill holes on my roof?! does anyone else have one installed? and steps and/or photos i can see so it would make it easier for me? :) thanks for the help guys

  12. How did u make the parts of the body lift? Like what is needed to lift it? I'm new to the "lift" part. I do have a CNC machine that I can use to make parts but I wouldn't have a clue on how to start building a part to "lift" my pathy. Do you still have the blueprint or file you used if you used a CNC machine? Would love to check that out if you still have it :)

  13. I think it looks pretty good man, I like the design idea... Mine is just a solid hunk of steel... after being rear ended twice in a matter of a few weeks by un insured "minorities" I went overboard...

DUDE!! No lie same to me theses 2 weeks first hit by a drunk driver only dented my bumper so I fixed it and painted it then today!!! A chick On her phone him me again!! Same spot!!! I should really put like a f you bar on my rear!!

  14. I'm gonna take a stab at this, since I recently pulled my rear speakers and looked at the tweeters to see if they had to be removed from there. I saw two screws in a flat *180* orientation.

Thank you for the answer I'm gonna check it out. Now you need to pull right? It doesn't slide out easy?

  15. The ring around the rear tweeters is both a retaining and trim ring. Grab it and rotate it 45 degrees (or so) and pull, it will come out along with the tweeter.

Ok so now I'm having a lil trouble. Does the inside ( I guess the support of the retainer) has to be like this -- or like this |. (90 degrees up or 180 degrees flat?) let me kno if you still don't under stand lol, I'm trying my best to explain lol
