  1. I think it sounds good especially in the higher rpms. I was hoping for as quiet as I could get but still with good flow because I use this truck for hunting. I don't need a pissed off bumble bee following me through the woods! Once it's warmed up the idle is pretty loud. I'll try to make a video.

Thanks man, looking forward for the video

  2. For the WD21 borla still makes a cat back system. They say its for 93 to 95 but the only difference in the exhaust systems from 87 to 95 is the convertor is shorter after 93. I put a 94 convertor and the borla cat back on my 87 and it sounds pretty good. It gets louder when the system is hot. Helped my power and fuel mileage after the screwed up situation I had with my Y pipe so I would say the flow is pretty good. It's not a straight through muffler design and has 2 1/2 mandrel bent tail pipe. I got mine through amazon in stainless for $360 shipped. The aluminized pipe is cheaper.

Do you happen to have a link? Or model number? I'm only asking cause I checked and couldn't find it

  3. yeah your stock chromie wheels dont have the right offset for the width of your tire. what do you have? 31x10.50's? those wheels are meant for the stock 235's... haha. :)

those photos are old i have cragar 15x8 4" BACKSPACING

  4. Part lift?

The only thing with cranking the tbars is more wear and tear on the CV boots (in 4wd only) and ball joint and TRE and such. other than that there really isnt a reason. and for 40$ for a set of used springs... its way worht it. mine were pulled for 40$.

the front or rear rubs? if the rear rubs i think that has to do with your wheel/tire combo. the front may be slightly fixed with a tbar crank. i dont know really...

the rear dont rub unless there is extreme flex (offroading wise) the fronts only rub if i turn my wheel all the way to either the left or right

  5. wow! so is this a like a part lift? sorry noob over here but why would you pay for a lift if you can just buy rear springs and crank the tbar up a bit more? unless its not this easy? i too have 31' tires on my truck and when i go offroading it rubs on the frame pretty bad when shes flexing... would buying 3' rear springs and crank the tbars up fix this?

  6. Besides, for the price of the split boot, you for 20-25 more you can buy an entire axle from Rockauto.

Really?! Yeah I had the split boot on for like a year now! I thought this was a easy fix and I look at it pretty much every day and it's still fine! I mean I go offroad a few times a month too and nothing bad ever happened to the split boot....

  7. It looks good to me. Any fitment issues? Do they interfere with vision?

    B

thanks and no they dont get in the way of my vision

Yea, they do look good. How do you like em?

as of now i love them! super bright!

Yeah I like those lights and the covers. :aok:

    KC lights are awesome.

    That they are!

hard to see in the pic, how did you mount the top lights to the cross bar?

i took the top bar off another bull guard and painted flat black but this bar has light mounts on it

  8. Yes those are the Hella conversion headlights I was recommending, they are USA legal but have a clearer lens (less fluting) and they take a H4 bulb, the bulbs come in all different wattages from completely legal to crazy, I had 55 watt low/100 watt high bulbs in the one's I had in my old hardbody.

Hella has halogen bulbs in 55/60, 55/100, 90/130 I stayed with the legal low beam wattage and the 100 watt high beams were nice.

Hella also sells a European version of this headlight, not legal for US use but don't think anyone will bother you as long as they are aimed properly. They have them on E-bay once in a while.

    This is the US version:

This is the European version, notice how the lenses are different:

Here's my 94 pathfinder with the hardbody headlight and aftermarket grille conversion:

This concludes the Hella advertisement, YES I like them !! LOL

i really like the look of this! i might wanna do this! and the grille is awesome! too bad they dont make it anymore...

  9. So you have 4 lights on top & 2 in the brush guard, how many more do you want to add anyway?? If you need more light than what you have now I would recommend converting the stock headlights over to hardbody style and putting a set of Hella conversion headlights in with 60/100 watt bulbs.

You could also leave the 2 on the brush guard where they are and add 2 more on top of the bottom tube, all you need to do is run a piece of steel between the 2 light tabs and than drill and bolt on 2 more lights, the negative about doing that is it blocks the grille.

I was thinking about doing the hardbody head lights. I really do like the look of it but what hella lights are you talking about? I never heard of hella making a whole headlight set up for the hardbody? Unless ur talking about the bulb. Can't you also do a easier hid upgraded with the hardbody lens?
