  3. james wat about rust protect you go the silicon route. and i guess youll just have to fab up some flat feet for some other rack don't forget to think about how its supported on the roof and possible metal on metal chaffing.

  5. sorry precise just figured cool things down then get back to help big daddy with his project. interesting design by the way i would have gone a different route like full cage run to winshield then custom rag top but hey props for trying something diff.
  6. not to but when i was over at fullsize bronco forum their was quite a a bit of back biting, which truely sadden me. and when i got my pathy and started here i was truelly impressed by the way you gentlemen conduct your selves and are invested in helping us newbies even when i put my builds up i expect the whole gambit of opinions. just remember even a counter opininon comes from some one who cared enough to read your words and try and make your rig stronger with their experience viva la pathy
  7. well first off i getting married on the 7th of august. i know i know she's crazy but i love her. now on to the build i am adding a engine coolant raw water heat exchanger to my pathy to help her appreciate my truck and camping more . Nothing too fancy a 12v hardwired pump some copper tubing a pvc cylinder and raw water connections hoses valves blah blah blah. the idea for those new to this is cold water is pumped into system heated by coolant from warm and running pathy and come out as warm water for shower, dishes, clothes etc. now of course i intend to split raw water line before cylinder and valve it so as to control temp much like at home. thoughts ????

  13. well after reading this i will add it to my list for todays fixes. I guess my idle is high too will post results tom got work tonight gotta love graveyard :coffee!:
  14. so basically what happened extreme 4x4 tried to be original then was paid off by jeep and hummer to hide the strength of these bad#ss nissan trucks, so what people have always been sheep. just laugh and keep howling at the moon. they just give us more trophy wives and dum ars husbands to tow while weare out enjoying rigs that are capable and fuel efficient.
  15. Just a newbies two cents, but if my parents had handed me a rig like the pathy i own and love now it would have saved me from FOS (ford owner syndrome). on that same blue oval issue i recently traded a trick out lifted beefed up 89 bronco for my pretty stock pathfinder and don't regret it one bit. these rigs hold up great and resale on them kicks other suv's in the rear, plus getting 17mpg. my vote better the devil you know fix and keep. Kids need projects. Just tell him chicks dig guys with grease stains and wrenches. good luck
