  1. would the prado be something packie88 and i could do ourselves or would i have to have a shop do it. If i have to have a shop do it how long would it take and how much would it cost?
  2. what is the prado lift, i know this may seem like a stupid question but i saw some pictures and it looks like some soecially placed blocks...can somebody please enlighten me?

  5. YAY!!! I just wanted to tell everyone that i am getting my lift on this comeing up monday... i will be riding on a 2inch emu, 31x10.5 bfg's with black teflon coated AR rims..... will try and post pics later on in the week
  6. i define highway speeds as the legal highway speed limit, 70-75 maybe 80... and for you xplorex i have a manual 5 speed
  7. so there is not danger of damage to any gears or axles or differentials or the engine? and the pathy will still be able to reach highway speeds?
  8. i guess my real question was, is a 1996 pathfinder capable of running 33 inch tires effectively without breaking anything?
  9. Lets say hypothetically that when the new 4 or so inch susp lift come out for the r50, i decide to put on 33's ...will i be able to run that big of a tire without regearing... or is that jjust totally out oif the question?
  10. Packie88 and i are ordering 2 sets of hubs tonight because we will get a %10 discount on them. The cost will end up being $120 for a set... at the same time we have decided to repack our bearings when we put the hubs on...Im pretty sure that between the two of us we can do it...but (theres always a but) i will probably be asking more stupid questions that i should probably already know the answers to....please bear with me..thanks
  11. ....and looking at the pictures it looks like the basic idea is to get the bearings out and grease the heck out of them, then put them back in... am i getting the idea?
  12. Ok so do you recomend that i repack the bearing when i go to install my hubs?... or is that something will do when i get my new rims and tires put on?
  13. this may yet agaian be an absolutely stupid question but....whast the point of repacking the bearings....and how difficult is it to do?
  14. yeah i thought he was trting to throw me for a loop...a few years ago i had him order some basic headers for my chevy and install them ...he charged me alittle over 800 dollars for that....luckily my parents paid for it as i was still in highscholl and didnt have any money.... this guy is trying to screw people
  15. I was talking to the local offroad chop owner and he told me that he would charge me 250$ to order and install the Warn manual hubs. I then asked him if it was something i could do myself and he told me that i would have to have a "special" tool... is this true or is he just trying to screw me over.
  16. yeah about that...how much damage can this kind of exhaust leak cause. you said that the gasket becomes more pliable and in effect seals the leak...how serious is this problem?
  17. my buddy is packie88...we go to college together and he has a first edition pathy soo...yeah...... can the stock diff's on a r50 handle 33's ...i was reading on a different forum that 33 inch tires will ruin the front diff...is that a myth

  19. T he rims im going to get are the new american racing Mojave with Teflon® (Series 3981), will this work?..... im kinda a noob at this kinda stuff sorry

I've been looking to put warn manual hubs on my pathy, but im still confused about how they work...that is to say, i know how they function but can you lock and unlock them with your tire on or do you have to remove the tires to do that... and if so...that just doesnt make much sense to me... can anybody clear this up for me?
